Spotted this in the car park in Mahon Point close to the superchargers. Will call in once it's opened!

That sold quick! In fairness you had it well priced. Did someone by privately or did a dealer buy it off you?

Was a private sale on adverts...much better than the dealer offers. I think at the kment the model 3 is the hottest car out there. I lost only 7k from new in 20 months.

    Hi all,

question what is the answer for insurance reasons when they ask if car has alarm tracker or immobiliser for model 3?

Too small even if I had the Mula. Will keep the 3 or maybe get a new 3 or Y depending on when the latter happens.

Do we know if the MIC SR+ arriving now have option to upgrade to heated steering wheel? I'm hearing mixed reports...

Does anyone else have to pull down twice on the drive stalk to get it into drive?

Almost every single time I get in and out my foot on the brake and pull the lever down, nothing happens. Always works on the second go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,548 ✭✭✭wassie

    Not here.

But speaking of the drive stalk, I only copped on the other day you can change direction (forward to reverse or vice versa) at very low speed without needing to hit the brake or be stationary. Makes maneuvering in tight spaces a doddle.

I am having this issue in the last few months, sometimes it works the first time and then it complains it cannot activate autosteer as I am used to double tap all the time to make it go into drive

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,167 ✭✭✭innrain

Did you know that the indicators can be stopped by moving to stalk in the direction you signal? i.e. if you signal a right turn if you press right again stops. Having said that I don't really like how it handles jumping from right to left. Say you're at a roundabout and you intend to take the third exit You're signaling right and when you past the second exit try to signal left for the exit. You have to press hard for the left indicators to show.

Sorry @mfceiling didn't experience that. My wife does but that is a different topic :D

Yep. Thats a whole thread right there.

I get the same and I think it's to do with the power on sequece of the car. Wait until all the warning symbols go out before hitting the drive.

Got an update last night 2021.32.21

just two new things: Greek lang support and immersive sound whatever that is

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,859 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

32.21 also fixed the issue where indicating didn't disengage auto steer for non FSD cars.

Indicating left? I noticed something for the left not for the right though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,859 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

^^ for me it was both. Normally when driving with auto steer, indicating right or left would disengage the auto steer (as it assumes you are changing lane), but an update about a week ago and it no longer worked!! But then I got 32.21 yesterday morning, and it works again... an indicate left/right disengages auto steer.

My indicators are fcuked anyway though....... when I half press to indicate left for 3 flashes only, it only works about 75% of the time.....

I've even had a new steering column installed (for another reason), and the issue is still there!!! it stopped for a few weeks after getting the new wheel & column, but then came back with a vengeance..

I had it out in the SC, and was able to replicate the issue, as was the technician, but there was no resolution... the result is I'm simply not pressing it down to the first 'soft stop' hard enough!!! Trouble is that if I press any harder, they come on continuously.

When I'm listening to music, I have to visually check the screen every time I try to 3 flash left to ensure that it's actually signalled!!!

I've also noticed it starting to happen lately for a right half press for 3 flashes.....

The ability to change the power between the axels is the best thing there, didn't realise that wasn't on the LR.

To be fair, at 7,500 it's more like it, and you really got a bargain at 4k! Though it looks like the LR has gone up in price a lot. I thought it was around 56k less than a year ago.

Did anybody notice that the LR price seem to have fallen back to 58990 i.e. roughly to the same price it was before the VRT changes in July?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,859 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

I noticed that, but i think its an error as the correct price still shows up at the bottom when you select cash.

    Then again when you go to check out, you see the actual price;

It's just Tesla using the "after savings" estimated price to rope people in. It's still €64k unfortunately, as a person with a SR+ on order - I got excited there for a second and was about to change my order! 😂

Ah, that's cool. I was just thinking that it was potential Tesla trouserage of grant money before July. Sorry for the disappointment there "Am I Evil".

Came home from holiday there and noticed some fairly bad scratches on the bottom front right of my car. Something hit it... or it hit something. Either way I would like it repaired. Do I need to bring it to Tesla for this kind of work or is there someone who can make it look as new for a lot less?

Fairly pissed to be honest. I'm certain I didn't hit anything and the wife assures me it wasn't her (I believe her). I don't use sentry mode as it eats battery and I don't have my own charger yet so have no evidence of anything. No idea where/when it even happened, must have been from before I was away.

What part of the car exactly?

Looks confined to the front bumper, just in front of the front right wheel.
