Jaysus, half of that audience look like they were dug up.

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.

Trivia from the BBC4 soul programme last night during Curtis Mayfield... hus soundtrack album to the film Superfly grossed more money than the film.

Midge Ure performed 'Cold Cold Heart' last night on TOTP. That song is notable for one of the few records of that era that Nile Rodgers did not produce

However, two years later Nile did produce a song also called 'Cold Cold Heart' for Wet Wet Wet. Has he ever turned down work?

That Wet Wet Wet video is like something from Limmy's show.

What the hell is this Global Citizen craic?

Been watching bits of it, trying not to be cross that they denied me the NFL show because of it.

It's like a telethon without the charity bit.

Fitting, I suppose, that it seems to be full of the "artists" that'll turn up for a phone call that promises exposure.

    Or whatever.

The Vicar St yoke on RTE 1 was better

Yeah, it's a strange one. There's a message of save the planet, change the world in there but it doesn't seem to be very clear about what they intend to achieve in practical terms

SRO (the crowd who fill TV Studios with audiences) were scrambling to give away free tickets for Nile Rodgers' London gig as late as Friday.

From what I caught it didn't look like "...a movement using its collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030". Duran Duran playing in complete opulent surrounds and Jenny with the rocks who in fairness is a total pro and can still do it aged 52 - being glitzy as ever. It was odd.

Yeah, they kept showing outside shots of the top floor on a skyscraper stage yokey. I rememeber saying at the time I'm sure those euros/pounds could have been put to slightly better use if combating poverty was the goal.

BBC One showed highlights earlier this afternoon of ‘Global Citizen Live’. Caught a bit of Elton John…
