Well that's very disappointing from a neutral perspective. Can only imagine what it's like for Mayo fans. You'd feel like that's the end of O'Shea at intercounty and possibly a few more too. Just didn't take their chances when presented. The two missed goal opportunities were the killer.

This Tyrone performance makes the semi final loss much easier to stomach.

    Congrats to them.

Congrats Tyrone thought Mayo would just make it the only thing is it should be open enough over the next couple of years so a chance for a few counties to win one especially Mayo thought they would get ba spell in second half but never happened for them . they will be well and truely gutted .

Aidan O'Shea still the most overrated and underperforming player in modern times.

Mayo have spent the entire injury time trying to get a goal and then right at the end they take a point from the free. Their decision making has been woeful all game long.

And all 25 Tyrone supporters in Croke Park go wild.

    Well done, Tyrone. Well deserved.

History is haunting Mayo Gaa like it haunts the English soccer team. The players looked broken after penalty. Can't see it winning at any stage as dublin I think will dominate again next season.

A tactical masterclass by Dooher and Lohan, Horan is such a clueless manager yet again.

Lucky for Tyrone they weren't booted out of the championship like Sligo were last year.

It's never going to happen for Mayo. They won't get a better chance than they had today to win an All-Ireland, and they were poor.

He was right to be pussing, he knew Mayo would chicken out again.

    Congrats Tyrone, well deserved.

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

He was poor enough today. He looked completely gone by the second half. Didn't have the legs at all.

I don't understand his continued selection to be honest. The man is a poor kicker of a ball and his hands aren't great. He gets turned over quite a lot too. His one real strength is galloping at defences and instead he's used to contest for high balls. Makes no sense.

Tyrone by far the better team. Mayo were very poor overall, their misses and decision making were shockingly bad.

More chance of Mayo winning the Liam McCarthy than the Sam Maguire...

Peak Mayo final performance. Hard to imagine they'll ever be able to win a final. No bottle when it comes down to it in a final.

    Well done Tyrone 👏

At this stage the entire county of Mayo need to get hold of that gizmo from Men in Black that erases your memory and try to start from scratch. The physiological block is obviously too much for them to overcome. No matter who the opposition or the level of performance they bring they always just manage to put in a performance thats slightly worse.

Except they failed worse, very poor performance and serious questions need to be asked in mayo. Tyrone weren't great either but were deserving winners in the end. Overall an extremely poor final that won't live long in the memory. Tyrone won't mind that tho. Congratulations Tyrone

No arguments with the win for Tyrone today. Mayo didn’t take their chances, so many turn overs, wayward passes, missed 45’s, missed penalty, a lot of wides. They had a golden opportunity here and failed to take it. They need a seriously good psychologist to try and remove them from the hype and fanfare + pressure from so many lost finals. This was theirs to lose.
