WhatsApp on mobile with no Sim card

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me if it's possible to install WhatsApp on an old mobile that no longer has a Sim card? I have tried to use a landline number and get them to call me but it states not enough digits for an Ireland number. Also tried installing Text Now but it doesn't allow an ROI number only USA, UK or Canada.

    Is there some other way I can get this to work?

    You could try a mac or a Windows 10 laptop but I don't think you'll get anywhere with a mobile phone phone with no sim.

    You're going to need to link a mobile number to your Whatsapp account. This means you'll need to keep whatever number active in the event that you ever need to restore your Whatsapp account later after a phone reset or to move it to another phone.

    You could try a free SIM card from LycaMobile or something?

    Can you explain a little more about your plans and maybe we can help with a better solution?
