I'd say you have a far better chance of making a good find in a charity shop in a rural town. Up in Dublin, I believe they sort the incoming centrally and stock the charity shops in the better off areas with the good stuff, where they can charge a premium. Rest of the stuff either sent to the poorer areas or for dumping abroad.
