It was probably in your cache, caller.

Joe, for comparison, this is exactly how things work here in the UK too. I went to the British Museum just two weeks ago. Free in, extra for special attraction exhibits. Same with Tate Modern etc.

The gallery guy simply needs to use the noel Kelly response:

"The price has been decided by the market" and then hang up.

It's always great when a caller is able to completely shut Joe down with simple logic and facts.

Joe showing himself off again as the moron he is

Joe has some neck. For a fella who's set himself up as a company to avoid paying taxes saying the exhibition should be free because the gallery is state supported is a bit cheeky, to say the least

It's not very clear how much Joe gets either till 2 yrs later.

Whoy is he talking over yer man as if this is a huge, aggressive disagreement or of interest to most of the listeners?

No wonder even Newstalk won't touch him

Joe, this is how almost every gallery and museum works!!! Either free or heavily subsidised entry, with an extra cost to special attractions.

The only aspect of commerce Joe understands is how his pockets are lined FFS

I wouldn't go in for free for a Jack B. Yeats painting. They remind me of what a schoolchild would bring home to show their parents, on which the parent would say "That's lovely darling. What is it?"

He's too ignorant to be taken seriously in a pub argument. Thick as pig shite

Twas only last week, the radiomeister was aghast at the cost of insurance for moving one painting as told by a friend of his.

Hugh Lane's idea would have worked in any other city but Dublin. Can one imagine the thickness of plate glass required in our capital city centre!
