Running watch for beginner

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a running watch for a beginner. There are a lot of options out there so am a bit lost on which one to go for.

Essentially I just want a watch for running -I won't be wearing it outside of running. I want one with GPS, that will record the route and then when I've finished the run I can upload it to my phone (android) and some App so I can keep track of progress, times, heart rate etc. (I've downloaded MapMyRun but maybe there are better alternatives).

I know these watches can be pricey so I've set my limit at €200 -but even that seems high for what I'm looking for.

no specifc reccommendations, but if you can stretch to get a watch that includes music storage it can be very handy. Syncs with spotify on your phone if you've a subscription and means you dont have to carry your phone with you on the run. Its definitely nice to be able to head out the door with just a watch and a set of running bluetooth earphones

i use an apple watch if your an iPhone user its the way to go you would get a series 4 or 5 for €200

I bought a Garmin Vivoactive 3 last year from Littlewoods Ireland and does everything i need with fairly decent battery.

I got it a a very good price too. Might be worth a look there to see if they have good deals and you can check independent reviews on line if you see anything that suits!
