I reckon Tyrone will have too much for Monaghan. The open spaces will suit both but I think Tyrone will do enough.

16 yellows in their league game this year apparently, so any Red today will have a seriously big bearing.

Discussing it pre game now. Could be a real high scoring game, goals in particular, as both sides are very able to score them.

How was no foul awarded for that forearm to the head, ref 7 meters away, free and yellow (minimum) but nothing.

Then tyrone get awarded a nothing free that never was and score.

Think tyrone will win this with a bit to spare

Better forwards who look more threatening

Tyrone finding it easier for their scores than monaghan

Finding it seriously easier to get handy frees too and the frees they should get... Monaghan though...gough doing nada to help them get a fair run.

Monaghan fûcked again by the ref, blatantly pulling jerseys, Tyrone go up the other end and score.

Some really poor shooting from Monaghan.

Tyrone are marching now, 5 up.

This ref is allowing Tyrone to pull and drag without any frees being given.

    Monaghan just aren't good enough

To many bad wides, tyrone superior

awful shooting from monaghan no chance playing like this .

Completely, blatantly, as that replay showed a lot of blatant fouls off the ball too... poor finishing, a bit of naivety but this shîtshow of a refereeing ‘performance’ really has done for Monaghan.

Tyrone got the upper hand and their dominance through piss poor one sided refereeing... the last yellow for the Monaghan player a prime example, theatrical dive, foul debatable, card ? Never. And all the Tyrone fouling ? Pulling, dragging ? Nada for them of course.

Tyrone should be further ahead. Some poor wides.

Another miss from Niall Morgan. I'd love to know his success rate from these frees/45s because I swear he misses more than he scores.

Tyrone 0-11 Monaghan 0-6. Looking like a very routine win for Tyrone. Have Monaghan a kick in them? This is the worst they have played all year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

Ah would you stop. Tyrone have superior footballers and are scoring at will. Monaghan getting turned over way too easy and Tyrone are very accurate with their scoring.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,429 ✭✭✭C__MC

I think tyrone could trouble kerry

    Non realistic? Thoughts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Not a chance. Kerry destroyed them in the league.

Monaghan have missed some routine kicks which could have made this game much closer than it is. Plus, banty is more of a hinderance for monaghan and I hope we will see the back of him very soon.

Tyrone are superior, but I’m wanting to watch a fûcking decent game of football enabled by two good teams AND a competent refereeing performance , Tyrone being a superior team doesn’t mean lovers of the sport shouldn’t be calling out this referee and his ‘performance’ to be critiqued negatively because it should be. As pointed out by another poster he’s allowing Tyrone to pull and drag Monaghan players at will.

I think they'll beat them. Difference with Tyrone and Cork is that they can actually defend and nullify Kerry's forwards. Cork managed it with Clifford but were wide open cos of it, Tyrone are better than that.

Also the Kerry backs are very light and Tyrone have plenty of bulk and experience up front who play well unlike cork who just looked hapless.

I wouldnt take any notice of the league game. Long journey for Tyrone to Killarney and Ulster championship the following week or week after so all they wanted was a run out with no injuries.

Kerry have and will be hyped up by the media because of those performances in Munster and a meaningless league but they're still 12 months away from being close to winning an All Ireland imo.

That is such a silly free to give away. Blatant over carrying under no pressure.

Only a point in it now. McShane on. He can be a game changer.

Water break coming up which completely destroy all of Monaghan's momentum. Hopefully this will be the last year of the water breaks.
