Looked like Lawes caught him around the shoulder for the clear out, but as it progresses it goes up towards the head.

Can you slap the ball out of the scrum half’s hands like Itoje just did there?

If it goes backwards, and you come from an onside position, then yes.

Only other coverage i can find in my channels is Sky Sports NZ, and they're using SA commentary.

Thanks. I’ll have to look that up and see what I can get.

    And nice counter try!

That Sigma Lions wing is rapid. Rees Zammit is very fast but he never got close to chasing him down.

TOTAL lack of composure there from George.

The praise of Russell is so totally over the top. As usual he's doing stupid risky stuff that would be handing better opposition try scoring opportunities.

Didn’t see the first half but the standard of the South African Lions is really really poor. They look like a load of semi-pros.

Daly has been outstanding since he's come on at 13.

He'll be starting 13 on Wednesday...could be a wildcard to start the first test there.

Josh Adams is such a good player

Itoje was excellent. That's the biggest takeaway imo.

And Daly sets up another try from 13.

I think we'll see him and Hensaw together at some stage.

Iain Henderson will likely be captain on Wednesday

Gatland says Henshaw will miss more than just the midweek game. His hamstring injury is still a mild one but he doesn't want to risk him. I'm pretty sure Garland is basically saying Henshaw is a nailed on starter for the first test.

There are highlights of today's Lions game on Virgin Media 2 now

The commentary is the South African version (SuperSports?) rather than Sky

Farrell or Ken Owens I’d imagine

LCD will start hooker. He hasn't started yet.

Farrell played 80 today, he won't start on Wednesday. It'll be Biggar at 10, Aki and Daly in the centre

For a guy who some said was a liability in defense, Hogg had a standout game yesterday under the high ball and chasing back an otherwise certain try.

You would expect a supposed world class fullback to be able to make that tackle on a back rower..

Shane Byrne and Fergus McFadden both on OTB yesterday saying they wouldn’t be surprised if Sexton gets flown out just for the tests, even if there is no injuries… mad statement to make

Bizarre considering Biggar went well against Japan and Russell didn't make any blunders really yesterday.

I was one of them and it was based on his showings in recent months where he was brushed off in tackles and beaten under the high ball. He was dropped by Exeter ultimately.

Had a fine game though yesterday. The chase back was great determination but I wouldn't be using it as an example of great defending as such. More of the right attitude, speed and brilliant work rate. If he didn't make that tackle he'd have taken criticism. I think the poor flanker was going to fall over himself at that stage!

He dealt with one or two high balls very well. Gatland has a big call to make. Some big names aren't going to make the 23. Early days but I think VDM and LRZ aren't in the mix and one of Watson or Daly isn't in the 23 also or equally could start.

The tactical approach is going to be significant. If Gatland wants to go with a 6/2 split, then we could see even more miss out.

I think we're gonna see Daly and Henshaw start together before the test series also. That would give Gatland his trusted distance kicker and a utility player in the back line allowing him to go with just half backs on the bench.

I had my head in my hands listening to that.

One of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard on OTB.

As if he'd just fly out a 36 year old who hasn't played in a couple of months to start a test match against South Africa at a weeks notice.

And it makes even less sense when you consider Biggar is just a better player.

    Utterly ridiculous.
