After messing up with my website

I'm designing a simple cookie cutter website through square space and I purchased a .ie domain.
However I see now that squarespace doesn't support .ie domains. As it's a local business. Ie makes most sense for reassuring customers etc.
Is there any way around this? Some sort of redirect maybe?

What do you mean Squarespace doesn't support .ie?

Domain registration and hosting are two different matters.

    Try this guide

Typically you would buy your own domain and set it to point to the ip address given to you buy squarespace by changing the DNS settings on the account where you registered the domain.

I don’t use SquareSpace but is it possible you are mixing up they dont sell .ie domains with not supporting them as it would seem unlikely they would stop you pointing your own .ie domain to their servers like they always have.

I have a .ie domain with Squarespace so they do support it. Although I remember having to go through an awful rigmarole to get it set up. I eventually got it sorted after 3 weeks of corresponding back and forth with Irish Domains and Squarespace.

Hi, apologies for resurrecting an old thread but I am having the exact same problem as the OP. Would anyone be kind enough to share the solution?

As a non tech person, I'm about to tear my hair out having spent the last few days putting the website together only to fall at this last, but most important hurdle 🙈😃

Hi wanderz, thanks for your reply. Yes I purchased it separately from Black knight.

Now, I have no idea what I did or how I did but when I went back into domain settings a few minutes ago it said "Connection in progress". So maybe it will eventually connect?? Or else I will be back to square one. What do you think?

Do you want to post the domain name and the IP address of the website on Squarespace?

You could ask Squarespace Support for help - you are paying for that.
