I used to see this sign outside a town on my way from Gort to Dublin as a child in the mid/late 90's. It was the best sign of all time. Where the hell was it again? I was but a child, unaware of my surroundings.

Would it have been Kilreekil, sometimes spelled "Kilrickle" on their signs at the time? Fine signs they were too.

If I remember correctly, that campaign was going on when I moved to Galway from Dublin in 2002. Suppose it could have been going on for a few years though!

I would say it was around Cappytaggle, a little nearer to Ballinasloe.

Well the sign seems to have succeeded. Great that signs have such a powerful influence.

I hope the Ukrainians, have lots of 'Russians go home' go home signs.
