Ballyanna woods. It's east off the Tesco roundabout.

How long a walk do you want? For a short (1-2km) but nice one - try parking by Distillery Lane, coffee from Montys and a walk in the Baby Walk and council park.

If you want a longer walk (3-5km sort of thing) park at the entrance to Ballyannon woods. there's a horsebox coffee place there, and you can head into the woods from there.

there's a car park right beside them. there's also on street parking, but that can be busy enough at the weekend.

had a great time in Midleton - thanks for all the suggestions..

We parked by the distillery - got lunch from Monty's (yum).. ate it in the little park near there.. then walked to the woods (Ballyannan) - so quiet - hardly anyone there.. and then a quick spin down to the Chocdaw (v cool)..

Must go back soon - but earlier - so we can enjoy the market :)
