    accountviewer. stellar. org

type it yourself into the address bar and generally don't click any random links from people online for anything to do with crypto as there could be lookalike websites etc...

you can paste in your private key on the page that says connect with a secret key. once you're sure you're on the official stellar website and you can see how much is in your account.

Then you can either leave it there or move it to a different place. I'm not any kind of expert though so don't know where would be safer to put it

Looks like I found something here on this page. So I just sign up to these wallets or use my secret key further down page.

Which wallet would you recommend guys?

Has anyone a link for where to access the lumens which were given to some of us in 2014?

Saw this thread & was reminded I have some

    Logged in & I have 1101.92

Found some site saying they're worth 0.5912 USD

If it is then I've got $650.90 which is about €546.52

    Is that right?
Not bad for a freebie from Bargain Alerts

Yep they're currently at about 0.50 euros. I have no idea why.

because we are going to the moon...

they were around $1 at one point before... we are going to blast past that on the way to $100

I'll hold onto them so ;)

When the time comes, what's the best way of selling these things?

Had forgotten all about this, found my account and i've about 500 lumens. How on earth does one 'move' these?

Easiest way is a Coinbase account

    Hi folks,

I signed up to this way back along with other - I have a username, but can't seem to get any further (either through a password or a recovery code.

Just wondering if anyone had a similar issue.

    Cheers

If they're still in the old Account Viewer and you don't have your secret key saved somewhere then you're not getting them, as far as I'm aware.

Ah, that's a pity - I can't seem to locate the secret key (was this like a code given, or a password that the user generated?)

    Thanks for the reply

It was a very long string of characters, that was generated by the website as far as I remember.

Just out of interest, are you trying to log in here: -

    https://accountviewer.stellar.org/

There's an extremely good phishing email going around. When you click the link it looks exactly like that page, but usually will have one additional letter in the URL, which makes it difficult to spot.

Bizarrely, trying again brought some success. Kept trying a password that I have had for years, with no success - until earlier.

Was able to generate a key, which resulted in seeing 1000 lumens.

Which is great! But, when I get into the account viewer, it says my balance is 0, that I need to send t least one XLM to activate account...does that sound familiar to anyone?

Just wondering what the next steps are. Definitely progress!

Open a coinbase account and see if you can transfer Lumen to it. Or if you don't want the hassle of uploading passport etc, you could open a Keybase account. That has a wallet for Stellar

Transfer a very tiny amount to make sure you know what you are doing first. Stellars transfer fees are minuscule so you wont be out. Any mistake and you can't recoup the lost transfer

What is the best way to store your XLMs? I have some in my Blockchain app and my Keybase app. What happens if these apps stop working or go out of business, how do I get my coins out of them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,093 ✭✭✭chases0102

Not having much luck navigating Keybase to access the lumens - I'm not au fait with wallets, or how to move the lumens etc....if anyone had any advice on this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,093 ✭✭✭chases0102

Having no luck here trying to figure this out.

After finally logging in, I was delighted to see 1000.00391 lumens! But I can’t seem to get any further to monetise these??!!

Moving them to Keybase/Coinbase - I haven’t been able to do it.

After I got to ‘account viewer’ after seeing the lumens, I’m given a new page that gives a public key, a balance that says 0 lumens, and then a section that says ‘my account is inactive , to activate it send at least 1XLM to the public key above’. Also a part of that page that says send/receive.

After hours of setting up difference accounts and trying to figure this out, I’m running out of patience.

Just wondering if I’m missing something obvious that means I actually don’t have those 1000.00391 lumens, or am I missing something simple that allows me to transfer them to Coinbase (I have my secret key and public key).

    Thanks folks

Can you buy 1 Lumen somewhere and try transfer it in? Also, search this thread as I think it came up before. Or there's another thread somewhere.

Yeah, you'll need to send an XLM to activate the account. I'll send you one if you're stuck or you can purchase on Coinbase Pro, Binance, Kraken.

    Orange pilled.

I use Exodus wallet and you can state XLM there and earn "interest".
If the app stops working your XLM is still on the boockchain and you can use your seed words to access your holdings on another compatible wallet.
