What stone to use for building up garage site

I need to build up the ground underneat where a domestic garage will be going. I will need to build it up a foot and then dig foundations./ What is the correct stone for the job.

You need to build the foundations first on suitable ground, below the frost line and then fill it in with a suitable stone from the SI listed here.
