    Hello and welcome fellow boards users :) Today's game is "What's that brown stuff?"

    Look at the picture below. See if you can tell me what that brown stuff is between the concrete slab and the lino. (https://imgflip.com/i/5702sq)

    I'm going to need to chip it off I think before I put down the underlay for the wooden floor. Does anyone know what this stuff is? Or how to get it off? It's almost like a sort of concrete slurry. The lino isn't particularly well stuck down. 1 stiff tug and it should come out.
