    Regarding the 40 bottles thing, and I say this coming from a family of distillers, I believe the statistic is 40 litres of pure alcohol a year per person.

    That does not equate to 40 bottles of vodka. That covers beer, whiskey, mouth wash, and the carton of Orange juice in your fridge which is past its use by date(Yes Orange juice can have alcohol in it).
