Jaysus missus, that's just a few minutes from me, drove out that way last week and there was a bunch of...ahem....'them' out on the road, they seemed to be running, no horses?!

    Running? Yeah. Drug running.

But they are allowed to do this, it's their culture.

Ah Ma, it can't be him. Surely isn't he's still in Arbour Hill for another 2 years.

Final 2 years were suspended caller.

Joe could legitimately think that the sulky was used by American tourists.

    Running? Yeah. Drug running.

Don't know what they were up to, but it was strange, they generally wouldn't be out that way.

I don't have much hope of the Gardai getting the finger out:

Here's a quote from 2015 in relation to a similar incident:

    https://www.thejournal.ie/cyclist-push-2238601-Jul2015/

"Speaking to TheJournal.ie a Garda spokesman confirmed that the force is aware of the video and that they are investigating.

“We don’t know where it happened, or even if it did happen – it’s hard to place accuracy on things like this that are coming from social media,” the spokesman said.

A number of Garda divisions are involved in looking into this.

    Traaaavellers

Scumbags abusing poor horses and seemingly above the law. Nothing new there.

Guards have no interest in following up.
    Just shocking

Useless guards again. Reactive policing...at a snail's pace

So they had video and a complaint but still doubt it actually happened?

That fills me with confidence that they are thoroughly investigating the matter.

    Pavee Point on Loine 2

Pavee point should be out there lobbying for proper tracks for sulky racing. This racing on roads is madness.

A classic tactic of Joe's is to drill into minute detail when discussing something controversial to avoid the caller saying anything inflammatory.

If Joe looks on Google maps for Knockbeg College, a prominent landmark on the page will be "Bestfield Halting site", whatever that is
