She seemed to want to drag the other one down a lot as well (the one who lost weight) really sad.

I have a serious problem with food. I'll skip cooking dinner and just eat a sharing bag of meanies or skips, fizzy drinks, full sharing bar of cadburys chocolate. Then I might go and buy a readymade sandwich or microwave food.

    It's not easy.

I thought she was much older.

And no whinging out of her. If many people had half of the same great attitude as Emer, there would be far less whinging about f all on boards.ie.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Maybe up the allowance on it, or link in your fitness tracker to give you some motivation that works for me. Dont feel so bad having a small treat if you are doing loads of steps

She has arthritis though I am not sure the dancing would suit.
Swimming would be the job for her. But the pools are closed.

I normally would not feel sorry for people who overeat. But Eileen seems to want to try and make an effort.Just needs the guidance.

Even a senior citizens group when the restrictions are over might give her that little lift up. They do everything from chair excerises to days out in Salthill or going to the flower show in Dublin ( Grow or something like that it's called ) playing cards etc.

Since I had the colectomy I don't have half the inclination to binge eat at times that I once had. Maybe to do with the microbiome.

Food diary isn't a bad way to go.
I think people know what doesn't agree with them though.
White bread....I fecking love it...but avoid it like the plague

Credit to liveline here. 2 actual positive people with advice on how to get out of a bad situation with good examples of the steps they took. Muuuuccccccch better than a stream of people listing out the various illnesses that they have in a competition with each other

Ditto, especially the rural well-fired loaf.
    Gives me terrible gut-ache though.
Decent proper granary bread, no effects at all.

Maybe your right a bit a bit of competitive fun chair exercises in a group. Away from activities that involve eating,

I assume she is in the country though. A lot easier to find and go to places in Dublin. Eileen does drive so she is lucky in that sense.

Marianne in contrast sounds like she has learnt self-control somehow. Eileen has just admitted she needs the shock (like a heart attack) to get her moving in the right direction.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.
