Is that the Talking Snooker podcast?

    Yep, that's the one.

Lee Walker is ranked 121 in the world. A whole 4 ranking points above Hendry who at 125 hasn't played a ranking event in a decade lol

He's pretty bad, shocking straight blue missed there to gift Ken the frame. Both him and hendry are on the first year of two year cards. Walker has won one match this season, same as hendry, but hendrys will put him above on the rankings, assuming walker doesn't turn this around.

4-2, no panic but Ken got just a bit ragged since the break. Like he's been dragged down to his level by walker.

The average shot times tell a story. Ken on a very respectable 21s and Lee on 35s.

4-3 now. Kens level markedly dropped last few frames, big frame now or this gets nervy.

This is bad, 4-4 now barring snookers. Ken somehow managed to snooker himself twice on the same red. Needs to pick it up here or very short lived crucible dream this year.

You really get a sense of how nervous the players are in these qualifiers.

Only joining the match late, seen the last 2 frames. A difficult watch, wonder it will suit Ken to have the remainder deferred; maybe he can get back to his early match form. Nice if Ken can somehow get this 9th frame his way.

We may never see the end of this.

Read that any way you like ;)

    1) Slow pace seems interminably never ending
    2) it might run to a finish on a non televised table.

Was a good green from walker there. He picked up his level, would have been hard to go any lower, and Ken dropped. No harm they've been called off and regroup for later.

Will be tonight when a table becomes available, not before 9.30 basically.

Hope Ken has put his name down to be next up on a table.

Just watching the end of Michael White losing to Ashley Carty and how sad to see a very obviously talented player struggle so hard to get results. Must be a hard life when you're not feeling great about things in general and, on top of it, your game just won't come together no matter how hard you try. An awful lot at stake for these guys.

Rebecca Kenna giving this a fair go here, Sergeant was 100/1 on to win. Nice little break to win the third.

2-2. I presume they wouldn't have given you 100/1 against Rebecca

I think she was only around 20s or something but not sure. But just stuck a few shekels on her at 10/1 on betfair during interval, just for a laugh.

Getting tight in the ken match but got no pics

Edit: beaten. 4-6 from 4-1. Disappointing.

    Terrible by Ken really.

He really should have won it earlier today.

Will Ken be off the tour now or what's his situation?

Got one more year on his card anyway.

First 4 frames Ken looked very Good, solid, cueing well and missing nothing easy. Then all change after the interval. Walker gifted him 5th frame but Ken just started getting ragged, missing easy shots. Probably not easy play a guy like walker, spends so long cueing over shots, i kept thinking my screen had frozen. But not much of an excuse really, just didn't play well enough. Walker grew into it tbf, playing much the better snooker until they went off anyway.

The Kenna v Sargeant match is up there with the worst I've ever seen.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,459 ✭✭✭Arthur Daley

Fair play Eurosport put full commentary teams out for these matches. Thought it might have just been last night for the big one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

88 clearance might just settle him down. Looked like a lad who was just feeling enormous pressure out there, remind me a bit of the ken v Reanne evans match a few years ago. Just terrified of losing.
