Fridge Van Conversion

Hi, So basically i have a fridge van. It is half fridge/freezer. I want to go to markets now, but my fridge is powered from the engine. So I’m not able to constantly keep it cool. What must i install or do to make my fridge work off power supply? This way i can constantly keep my food cold.

You probably need a generator.

How is the fridge powered in the van currently?

If it's an electric one then a generator will do yes, however if the compressor is driven directly from the engine via a belt, well that's another story altogether.

I see supervalu home delivery vans running engine non stop at the store and on delivery.
