I am in the quality assurance scheme. If I buy an animal that is not from a QA farm and beef that animal will I qualify for the payment in the factory?

Animal needs to be in your herd for 60-70 days to be considered as QA'd according to Bord Bia. Factories have their own specification on what they pay bonus on.

Sheep is 42 days. Cattle 70 days. See link.
