No that was the first gen S40 and Carisma. The Lancer had no connection to the S40.

Carisma, who said the Japanese don't do humour?

Interesting little cars these. Looks tidy

They were basically just a Daihatsu Sirion with a Subura badge and 4wheel drive added on some of them. Disappointing really.

    Peace and long life.

Contacted this seller (via Donedeal) as soon as it appeared here. Seems he got the full asking price offered immediately after putting up the ad. I was told if that person did not show then I would be next in line.

Upset to see it marked as sold yesterday morning. From talking to the seller it seemed like a genuine car - and look at all the service history & NCT certs! Sickened I missed out on it.
I know where there is one of those Corrola saloons and I do not think it is been driven much now either as tyres have gone soft on it and last time I seen it it was up in the air on two Jack's. Do not think it's for sale do but I could ask next time I go by it if you want and take a picture too?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Nice looking 09 Lancer with NCT til March 2022 for €2k

This seems cheap. Nice looking car, and they're really not a bad car at all

There ok. The sister and brother in law had one.

They are not the best motorway cars do as they tend to move around a lot.

That looks to be a gem. Can see a small scuff here and there but very much superficial I would say. I'd have a gut feeling its a beauty. I's love it too.

Mitsubishi parts known to be on the expensive side

I remember about 8 years ago ringing a Mitsubishi dealer near me looking for a replacement coilpack(just one) I think it was about €400. I couldn't believe it. I later found out it is the same one used on Evo's just the rubber part is a different length so maybe that is why it was expensive or maybe as you say just expensive as it was a Mitsubishi.

never needed any for mine, cause it never breaks down and i'm driving it for ten years

Scotty Kilmer thinks Mitsubishi's are shít and then he would say if it was a Toyota or Honda.(He thinks their the best cars ever)

Colt's and lancers were popular in right hand drive countries Ireland, Japan, UK, Australia, New Zealand. And they were very reliable so I do not know where Scotty is coming from. Maybe they had shít automatics which is what Americans look for when getting a car.

    Your pulling our chain right......

Petrol or diesel will be a big influence on what the answer will bring

Saab what year, what spec, diesel or petrol, budget etc
    ...

Mitsubishi were reliable enough, they're an extremely outdated model around over a decade.... Mitsi now pulling out too, bland motoring but usually ok

You'll be fine once it's petrol. Diesels are made of chocolate

The 1.5 petrol Lancer can be hard on juice as it's quite underpowered, at least that's how I felt during my time with one.

There is a leak somewhere in the pipe of cooling system and is leaking coolant causing the engine to overheat. This is cheap to fix, just a matter of getting the part

    Lol, sure

Definitely not the head gasket, definitely not
