    Hi
Anybody have a delicious tasty way to cook porridge, trying to entice someone who normally doesn't eat it, they're getting braces so would be handy and ok for teeth too I think. Thanks

Make it with coconut milk and when cooked stir through some squashed frozen rasberries and you have pink coconutty porridge :)

For a real treat, I like to make porridge in the following way:

    0.5 cup oats
    1.5 cup water
    Pinch salt

Cook on hob until at desired consistency, then stir in some ground almonds - a heaped tablespoon. I sometimes add dessicated coconut here, too. Stir well and add to a bowl.

Then top with honey or brown sugar, and a generous drizzle of fresh cream. Scrumptious.

My default for porridge is mixing in fresh blueberries and top with a drizzle of honey. Strawberries and raspberries work very well too, but the seeds might be a problem for braces.

If I'm feeling really indulgent... I just mix in a teaspoon of nutella. So simple, but so tasty. Just as an occasional treat though!

Lovely, some good suggestions there thanks. Will def try the almonds and cream sounds delicious. I'm sure she'd love the Nutella alright dentist mightn't though! As a treat as you say though. The pink raspberry/coconut milk sounds lovely, o presume the raspberries just melt straight away? Will go get the bits I need now, thank you.

My partner got a birthday hamper yesterday, which was pretty damn tasty. Though the bread was a little out of place, so we used it today after a long walk as part of a slightly dirty breakfast.

Poached eggs on homemade sourdough with chives.

Chives purely because I had to buy a bag of them for another recipe and need to use them up :)

Made some grits. Soaked white hominy corn overnight, ground it up and cooked it adding parmesan, cheddar, butter and tabasco at the end.

Doesn't look like much obviously because, well, grits, but tasted great.

My latest favourite breakfast is both delicious and healthy, no photos, but this is what I do.

    Spinach and egg wrap.

    Handful of spinach leaves.
    2-3 eggs.
    Salt/pepper to season
    Some crushed chili
    Optional sprinkle cheese
    Optional sirraccha chili sauce
    Wrap

Turn on pan, little bit of oil, or spray with spraylight and add spinach leaves.
Crack your eggs in a bowl, roughly scramble them, add seasoning if required.
Once spinach is starting to wilt, tip in the eggs and combine.
Once eggs have almost set, add in crushed chili and cheese - though both are optional.

Once cooked to the desired consistency, tip out onto a wrap, wrap it up and either eat as it is, or gently heat the wrap in the pan to crisp it up.

I like to use Fitzgerald's chargrilled wraps which I get in Tesco, and before putting the eggs/spinach in the wrap i add sirraccha chili sauce for a bit of heat.

I always heat the wrap afterwards, usually in the pan but this morning I threw it in the air fryer for 3 mins

Delicious. And if like me you're always on the run, easily enough eaten (once cooled enough) on the drive into the office.

    Thank me later. ;)
