Lidl tools

    Just picked up a set of 4 pry bars from Lidl on a whim. They seem to be of good quality and they only cost €12. Solid strong bars and a good rubber handle on the end of each one. I'd consider buying ratchets and sockets from the parkside brand going by this has anyone used those tools from Lidl?

    Yes they are fine, for budget ratchets and sockets though I'd be more inclined to go with Halford's own brand as quality is better for the money.

    If you only use them on occasion around the house or car the tools from Aldi and Lidl are just fine.

    Yes I just perform some routine maintenance on mine and my familys cars maybe the odd suspension component, I primarily bought them to use the big one to check for play in ball joints etc.

    I have my Halfords Pro ones for around 13 years and have had no failures yet despite misuse.
    Friend has one of the medium sized Lidl ones and they’ve been grand too but have been minded.

    I bought a black case of ratchets and sockets from Lidl in 2014 or 2015. The tools are branded "S+K".

    They have taken some pretty harsh abuse to be fair, and I have had to use them again when my teng tools ratchets which replaced them in 2017 are back in the motor factors (again) getting new ratchet internals under warranty.

    Same Halfords Pro socket set, must be 11 or 12 years old.

    I got the pry bars & crow bar set this week, im waiting on key to new house to start stripp[ing out. Figured if i went into woodies one crow bar or comparable quality would be 20e alone,
    I have some a aldi 20V cordless hammer drill and a mins impact wrench from lidl that i love, i also have a workzone spanner st for several years that had done a lot of work

    My main socket set is a 120 piece Halfords Advanced but I've a 1/4 inch drive socket set from Lidl a good few years now and I've used it on lots of bikes and cars and it's my first choice for anything small and I find it a really well built quality kit.
