... is a kip and i'll never set foot in it again.

    That aside - any fancies?

I'm punting Allaho for the Ryanair and i hope it wins today by half the track. A lot of people here have said this is his trip as he clearly didnt get home in the RSA.

I'm not sure what happened at Punchestown but I was surprised to see them go over 3 miles last time. Today will tell us all but i'm happy to take a chance he wins today and goes for the Ryanair.

12.15 Thurles, Colreevy. Horse is around 8/11. This is a confident lay bet for me. The horse usually goes 'off the boil' after late December for a few months, and comes back to form around April'ish. The fav fell in the race it won last time out and it was lucky to get home. Today's race is very trappy and @ 8/11 has to be a lay in my opinion.

12.40 Lingfield, Ruby Red Empress. Horse is around 2/1 - 7/4. Lay bet for me, can't see it winning in my opinion.

12.45 Thurles, Allaho. Horse is around 10/11. I've backed the horse to win, my best bet of the day.

1.15 Lingfield, Power Of States. Horse is around even money. Backed to win.

    That's me til this evening.

I can't touch Allaho. I'm taking the view the RSA may has left its mark on him.
Easy Game the one for me each way.

I got a fat price about Elimay last night. Happy enough.

I was just off the blower to the Lannnin Cru.

    " Lingers " winners are.

    12.40 Born to Sire
    1.50 Host
2.25 Jackstar / Invincible Larne ( geeza sez issa cointoss innit Moron? Get wiv it aw whight ?)
    3.35 Verne Castle
    4.05 Supercontango

Daniel Loughnane had 3 winners last night.

I was talking to a breeder on the other thread. He is very skeptical on some of Coolmore's new national hunt string of sires - he doesn't fancy some of the new ones ( despite the fact that they are multiple G1 winners :p) - experts abound ,be careful out there punters.

    Scarlett and Dove unlucky there.

But did she fall because she was knackered?

Looked like she fell trying to keep up to Colreevy.

I got word about this yoke a few weeks back and ran well. Seemed to stumble slightly. Any improvement and i'm sure be thereabouts. Must check prices actually

Battleoverdoyen is far too big here. Barring accidents I cant see him out of the first 3 and bet365 going 17/4 3 places so I've had a bit of that.

More impressed with Elimay there than Allaho. She’s ran a stormer.

Mares chase winner? Benie won't turn up there I don't think.

In fairness it looks like they were the only 2 out for a race.

I thought the way Allaho found a bit was good to see for anyone that fancies it at Cheltenham, Elimay is no mug.

Melon's Ryanair to lose now though:P

Very impressed with Alloho there. Townend has a tough call between him and Min.

Rumour has it Benie misses the festival. Mullins quoted after about Colreevy you wouldn't be sure she'll travel over. Elimay could go off short

Any chance they'll "stop" her

All joking aside here., Elimay currently 11/2 with Colreevy and BDD heading the market. Honeysuckle next in the betting with others that are not likely to run.

If BDD is injured, and Colreevy who i'd have my doubt over anyway (and maybe doesnt go) Elimay goes off 7/4? Ish?

I'm not sure what beats it on that performance. Looks a very fast chaser.

Although I’d wonder if they would send Put the kettle on to the mares chase

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    And i've taken the 11/2!

3pm at Lingfield waiting to go.

Remember a friend in the know told me that if you look at 8 runner races, there is often a late withdrawal - he says it's well known that bookmakers will offer small trainers a decent incentive to withdraw and reduce the place betting terms.

Used to think it was an unfounded conspiracy theory but I've seen it happen so often I'm starting to wonder.

In this race Ezanak withdrawn at 125/1, the place offerings in a very close betting heat now 2 places instead of 3.

Wonder if all avenues of dodgy dealing are going to be investigated.
