1 owner (until last week) 7 seater ML270 with NCT til January 2022, €1500

With a bit of a haggle you could have it taxed for six months and still be within bangernomics parameters.

Those yokes are an absolute sow on diesel, and in this case, tax too. Overpriced at 1500 IMO.

i think its a good deal at that price with a fresh NCT. Tax isn't the worst but as mentioned for under 2k you could have that on the road for a good few months, get through winter anyway

    You should buy it.

Seller seems genuine too, he either only started selling cars a couple of weeks ago or just discovered DoneDeal very recently.

What could go wrong? Drives like new.

3k for one years worth of motoring, at 20mpg.
bodywork rough. mileage high. Hasnt aged well i.e. ugly looking car. Slow.
you would be infinitely better off buying his accord, which looks mint and is executive spec.
that jeep is only fit for export (due to its auto/aircon )

I know its not the best financial sense to buy over other vehicles in that class but for that car if you wanted one, its not bad deal

Hey folks, looking for a recommendation. Need a car for the next year, and from some of the great posts in here I reckon Bangernomics is the way to go. Here's what I'm looking for:

    - Fresh NCT
    - Decent engine size
    - Automatic (OH only has auto license)
    - Reliable
    - Comfortable

Car will mainly be used for motorway miles, not really concerned bout high tax. I'm thinking something like an Audi A4/A6 but I know autos can vary in quality big time so don't really know what to look for or avoid

    2007 Skoda Fabia.
    Gearbox replaced
    New bushings
    NCT - Sep 2021
Looks a bit rough, but not bad value

To my mind that is the epitome of Bangernomics, great find.

Worth looking at one of these:

    NjE2NDI2OTU3ZjgyOTU2OTgyYTI2NjNiY2I4YmMwZmFQzjGnqroL9Pi4WfqOM9MeaHR0cDovL3MzLWV1LXdlc3QtMS5hbWF6b25hd3MuY29tL2RvbmVkZWFsLmllLXBob3Rvcy9waG90b18xNjI1NDEwOTZ8fHw2MDB4NjAwfHx8fHx8fHw=.jpeg

Nice spec, auto box, comfortable etc. Spec is nice on this, miles are reasonable and it looks fairly honest.

    Renault Clio 1.1 2007
    New NCT 02.2022
    Full service done.
    New Tyres

Wouldn't be my cup of tea, but a very long NCT.. I think it could be a little cheaper

    Thats €5000!

Yeah, it's lovely but i dont think he'd take 2 grand for it :D

    It’s worth a lot less than €2000 though :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,903 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

Just realised how dangerously overpriced it is!

Here's one, 2 years newer, still looks tidy. Almost half the price.

    Only the 8 owners too!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,903 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

Yeah, but still, the €2k saved would help you get over that i'd say.

I know of an 06 that sold for €2000 6 years ago, so I dunno..

That is for sale ages. It’s an interesting specimen and a bit charming IMO - original Irish, 1 owner, 3.2 etc but miserable base spec.

I can’t think of a worse car to be paying €1800 tax on, honestly

I know its a strange one
Ive looked at it a few times as i said
Someone loved it anyway and had it a while
Dont know what it is but i must be mad
That tax would be so bad to hand out your right

Nice looking e39 estate with tax til August and NCT til October

    Is it worth €1750?
