All this rain over in Manchester isn't ideal. Always the outside chance of it being called off but games played in torrential rain are usually drab enough games. The City game will do a lot to define my game week

The two best transfers I’ve ever made in fpl this week, bamford & Dallas out for Stones & Antonio for a -4.

Unfortunately was only brave enough to VC Antonio, would have been all the sweeter.

They may try more long range shots, for Martinez to save!!!

Not sure how to feel about that. I have Grealish and Martinez in the city game only, whereas every1 else has KDB, Dias and some had Stones. I suppose I ll take 0-0 but like why cant Grealish assist couple of goals?? He is a nice guy.

And I was thinking Antonio would have being only given cameos with those tight hamstrings. Fecker nearly played 120 mins.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    Watkins is due another hattrick...

74(-8) after last night. Martinez x 2, Wilson, Salah(C), Cancelo, Dias, KDB and Bruno to play. Up 70k to 680k.

89 with Martinez x 2, Robertson, Stones, Salah, KDB, Bruno, Grealish x 2 left to play.

Pulled away in my private league. Up 600K, almost in the top 1 million for the first time this season. It's been a terrible year.

Think my previous best was around 210 points back near the end of the 2016/2017 season. Could be under threat here by the looks of things.

    Not by me obvs :(

77 points, 9 left to play. Still floating around the 60k mark.

Ole’s comments on Bruno seem to suggest he won’t be rested tonight, at least not from the start. You’d imagine KDB will start too as he was taken off early last time out. Hard to see a lineup without some sort of Pep surprise for us though.

Stones to the bench.... With Pepe anything is possible. I've Stones, KDB and Gundogan. I fear only 2 will start. But then he can rest who he wants for weekend cup game!

Just looking at some comments in the Man Utd thread, a lot seem to think that Bruno needs a rest and looks tired. But can OGS afford to rest him? He probably can't rest him in the cup game at the weekend either, so maybe the Sheff Utd game next midweek will be his rest while still playing from the bench.

As for Pep roulette- it's very hard to know! Maybe Zinchenko drops out for Cancelo, with Walker, Dias & Stones keeping their places. Rodri comes in for Fernandinho with KDB & Gundogan. Then Sterling, Jesus & Mahrez up front. My guess.

no way Bruno gets rested imo as an owner and utd fan granted !
But with city having a game in hand he must play, i'm sure he'll get subbed early if winning though

When Laporte is back that’s when the rotation risk in city central defence is

I'd expect Bruno to start tonight and be very surprised otherwise.

The 'plan' would be to be winning and take him off around the 70/80 min mark for a rest.

He's too important for Ole and he can't afford to rest him IMO. I'd expect him to play the wekeend in the cup and start v Sheffield United.

When he was fit - he was on the bench and Pep basically said that he need to improve and hence played in the second string cup game from what i remember.

Just cause Laporte is good doesn't mean he's going to walk into the team.

Even if Stones is benched tonight it wouldn't be the worse given his points to date this GW.

I think Bruno & De Bruyne will start and both will be off early if they’re in a position to do so.

On Laporte the Dias Stones partnership has been so impressive any normal manager wouldn’t dream of breaking it up or resting either but that’s not Pep unfortunately.

Yeah I think he'll start tonight too.

There's only so long these players can keep playing twice a week every week. Man Utd have 11 games in the next 6 weeks so he will have to get a break in sometime, whenever it is.

As you said, he's too important to rest but the risk of burnout and injury will hurt Man Utd a lot lot more if he does get injured and missed a few weeks.

My suspicion is Rashy gets a rest tonight, and was one consideration in selling him this week. He's looked a little tired to me for a while but was never getting a rest against Liverpool. I think Bruno's safe as houses.

I'd Maddison in my team on my wildcard before I made a last minute change because I thought it might not be a good idea to have 3 Leicester players.

He spent a grand total of 2 days in my squad before I swapped him for Grealish. I don't expect to receive kind words from him in his autobiography.

Stones plays tonight. Laporte and others will come in for the FA Cup tie.

Aston Villa is no easy tie.

But from that logic he shouldve rested players vs Palace? Palace is definitely an easy tie :pac:

    Usually good for info.

All 4 should start (hopefully Stones too!!)

    The rockstar is the goat.

I'd take 2 of Stones, KDB and Gundogan starting TBH.

Walker starting makes sense as you need pace vs Grealish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,659 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Sterling & KDB starting is enough for me.

Stones has his fill of points done, he doesn't owe us anything more this week! I'd take him being benched this game if it means he is starting the next 3 or 4 league games.

KDB false 9 again? Would be good for those who captained him. Could also be Sterling there with Foden left.
