Car warranty upgrade

    Hi, does anybody know how much (roughly) it would cost to upgrade a used car warranty from 3 months to 12 months? Or is it completely dependent on the car?

    Will depend on the car. How old is the car? Most will only cover cars less than 10 years old.

    Haven't bought it yet, but it'll be between 13 - 15

    You are expecting a meaningful warranty on a 15 year old car.

    Warranty companies won’t sell a 1 year warranty on a 15 year old car. On a newer car it costs about €200-€300 to upgrade depending on how much the dealer wants to make on charging you for the warranty

    Mod is correct, the car will be between 2013 and 2015.

    As a guide ...
    I buy an annual main dealer warranty extension for my 152 bmw 420d series for €415 each year. Thats a bumper to bumper warranty too.

    They’ll let me do it until the car is 10 years old or 160,000kms.
