What SD card do I need for Nextbase dashcam?

Hi all

Hope someone can help. Am installing a Nextbase 122 Dashcam in daughters car and yesterday I bought this SD card in Argos

On formating same ... it now tells me it not compatible and insert new card!!!

What do I need to watch for in buying an SD card for a dash cam????

Did you format it in the dashcam itself?
afaik any class 10 card should work once formatted correctly.

Which is what the manual for that dashcam says you need.

nextbase say to use these as otherwise they blame any bloody issues you have on the card...

I had to get a U3 to record both the front facing and rear facing camera at the same time, the class 10 I bought originally would only record the front facing. Actually don't know where I put that...

yep that is U3, Nextbase hardly make the cards so that is an easy cop out.
I didn't use a nextbase card in mine so it is not like they are the only cards that will work. Just needs to be capable or 30MBs (U3)

Just a thought what is the max size SD card in a 122 model? Might only be 32GB? Will check and see.

Edit just checked the manual which doesn't state the largest size but does say

SD Card (Recommended Type) 8-32GB SDHC / SDXC, U1, Class 10 (48mb/s), for best results use a recognized brand

which I assume means 32GB is the max?
