Wasn’t it part of Madigans contract that he sported the nicest hair do at all times.

Well the Nordies are in a 6 week lockdown so he might end up looking like McCall by the end of January.

That looked a soft penalty against Dillane

Sloppy discipline. Madigan will punish us all night witj handy kicks..

In fairness it was very harsh

Very jealous of that one lad standing in his doorway with a cup of tea watching the match

Blade and Carty look like the veterans here, not Alby and Madigan

Hes dropped it but it went down and then backwards so not sure how it's a knock on.

Ulster celebrate knock-ons like they've won a cup

Ulster doing their best Saracens impression with the shouting and roaring

Mads throwing a few hidden digs there??

    Thought the same. Very harsh.

Also the ref is not impressing me so far. Is this his first pro12 game.?

Classic Ulster, gurriers the lot of them

That’s the Ulster second choice scrum mullered.

Am I correct in saying that ulster didn’t have a phase in the Connacht 22 in that half?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    Arnold pass was way forward?

Ulster 2nd’s/a yellow card and still quite a modest game.

Not sure they’ve actually attacked at all yet.

Bit concerned that Ulster are still in touch despite probably not getting through more than 3 phases at any point in the half. They will have their purple patch and I’m not sure if we’ve done enough with the possession and territory we’ve had so far.

In that half ulster beat no defenders, had no line breaks, threw no offloads and had only 7 gainline carries.

Compared to connacht with 8 defenders beaten, 3 clean breaks, 6 offloads and 49 gainline carries.

How are ulster only 5 behind

That's one of the worst halves of rugby I've ever seen Ulster play.
Tackling as is the usual Ulster way which is optional.
McCall is about as useful in a scrum as a melted wheelie bin.
Timoney has at least 3 stone on Carty and still manages to let him power over for a try.
    An absolute rabble from 1 - 15.

If I was Dan now I'd head off home on the bus and leave that bunch to figure out their own way home.
Probably not a good idea as they'd likely end up in Wexford or the Isle of Man.

Don't understand that concern. Much like Bristol last week Connacht are dominating every part of the game. While the score does not reflect this, it would be a very optimistic Ulster supporter who could see anything positive coming out of this game
