Using Fritzbox 7530 with Eir FTTH

Hi All.
Recently bought a Fritzbox 7530 to use instead of the F2000. Main reason I bought it , was that I find it difficult to track daily usage using Eir's dsl stats website. Was able to connect the router fine but ran into issue with the landline. From what I've seen on this site it's not possible to set up Eir VOIP on Fritzbox, am I wrong? I reconnected the F2000 and phone working grand now. I tried to set up the Fritzbox as a cascaded router but had no luck .

Any idea in how I can use the Fritzbox while keeping the landline?

can you read the account settings from the F2000, You can then input them into the fritz os menu as seen in the attached image

Do you mean these?
username:eir@eir.net
password:broadband1
Vlan = enabled
VlanID = 10

I can set that up no problem, its getting the phone working is the issue

SIP details arent extractable and wont be provided to you.

Nobody has posted here saying they've got it working yet. BYOD means dropping the VOIP line with Eir.

So using the router as a cascaded router won't make a difference either? Sugar, that was a waste of money then

- Get a cheap 5-port passive Gbit/s switch.
- Connect the switch to your ONT
- Connect your F2000 to one port and your Fritz!Box to the other port.
- disable the wifi on your F2000 .. you won't need it.

Set the Fritz!Box up using PPPoE credentials. Use the F2000 for the phone. The F2000 will be authenticating using the IPoE connection. That way both have their own individual public IP.

Job done.

And yes, the ONTs accept up to 16 mac-addresses connected to the LAN port, so that works just dandy.

Just reporting back. Got it working after a bit of trial and error. Had to connect the F2000 to the switch via the wan port to get the phone working and had to replace the lan cable for the Fritzbox. Wifi working now via the Fritzbox along with phone working via the f2000
