    I haven't seen too many of these on the roads - nice looker imo.
    Is the "Q4" a moniker for Alfa's 4wd system?

    Yep, it's a 4 wheel drive.
    Quite reliable too.

    It stands for Quadrifoglio to indicate a higher performance level. It's kind of the Alfa version of BMW's M or Mercedes AMG.

    Having said that I'm not sure if the Q4 on its own means 4 wheel drive as opposed to it being a Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

    the starting price for that stelvio is 120K

    Q4 is 4wd
    QV is Quadrifoglio Verde (equivalent to M/RS/AMG)

    I'm aware of the Cloverleaf designation on older Alfas for the smokin' versions, and the interesting history of same which represents the original 4 Alfa Romeo racing team drivers from the 1920/30s (this emblem wasn't on the Stelvio I posted) - I hadn't come across the "Q4" badging before.

    It’s not a Quadrifoglio, without looking up the reg. the exhausts are a sure giveaway that it’s not.

    I had the q4 system on my 159.
    It was just planted. You couldn't get it to put a foot wrong.

    Knightsbridge, London. A genuine LWB Autobiography. I have never seen one of these before.

    And a more mundane amg 63 in front of it ;

    can an AMG 63 ever really be described as mundane? Terrible colour though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,936 ✭✭✭SmartinMartin

    Exactly, I was using it to emphasise the rarity of the other motor.

    If that's a genuine reg number it's fantastic. The car looks shlte though.

    In Australia you can have your number plate say anything.
