Waited all day for for that HomePod Mini to be delivered yesterday. Fastway's tracking said it went on the van at 8:30am yesterday morning. At 9pm last night I get a text to say it’s been delivered and signed for. Except it wasn't. The courier company isn’t open at night. Not great.

Lodged a complaint with Fastway this morning and with littlewoods. We'll see what happens. Hope whoever has my HomePod is enjoying it.

the exact same thing happened to me , i ordered 2 , one went like that and the next day it was delivered and the delivery note changed from delivered the night before to the next morning and I'm waiting on the 2nd

Anyone using the HomePod is a pair for surround sound? I'm wondering if it's worth buying a second one. The one I have doesn't get too much use as it's in the same room as a GH which the kids tend to use more (hope to replace that with a mini).

I actually just paired them as a stereo pair a few mins ago and the sound is really great. You can choose which is L and R. As long as you have a consistent input I’m sure itll work?

Yes using my Homepods as a stereo pair for the last year, sound is generally excellent except for the midrange. In the end I bought a Sonos Beam as a third speaker which does the job for filling the missing mids.

Just to close this off, my HomePod Mini turned up a day later than expected, and I now have a stereo pair going. My take on them is that they're pretty good at normal lower volume levels, nothing earth shattering, and once you get past the surprising volume from something so small, they don't have the on going wow factor that the bigger HomePods have.

Things improve at slightly higher volumes - in particular the bass seems more prominent at high volumes - two HomePod minis together make a pretty good music centre, probably offering good value for around the €200/€220 mark for two of them. Add in the smart features, and they're worth having. But they're not mind blowing the way the bigger HomePods are. They have one good trick - being surprising for their size. That's my two cents.

How long were peoples deliveries with Littlewoods? Mine dispatched 29th. Nov but not updated since

I’ve seen HomePod minis go for 180€ on adverts. Insane!

I assume you can AirPlay from Spotify to either a HomePod or HomePod mini? Can you ask Siri to play a song on it too from Spotify?!

Just asked Siri on a HomePod mini and he tells me “The app has not added support for Siri” so I don’t think it’s possibly to play directly. I don’t have Spotify to check if AirPlay works

You can airplay any audio source to the HomePod. You just can’t say “hey Siri play X on Spotify on the HomePod”.

Afaik third party developers can implement this just Spotify haven’t.

Thanks...that’s kinda annoying! Might look at a Sonos 1 instead, cheers

Are you using the beam as part of speaker group? Have you connected all three to an Apple TV? Is that possible? I love my HomePod stereo pair with my Apple TV especially since the update.

Got one HomePod mini a few weeks back and was impressed so ordered a second one. Both from littlewoods ireland. The second one made it to the Fastway depo in Cork but no further. Rang littlewoods yesterday to be told they can’t do anything. Can’t find a supply of them anywhere else.

I ordered a HomePod from littlewoods on the 27th November. It says it’s at the fastway hub since the 2nd of December. Does anyone know what the holdup is?

I would ring littlewoods, but if my experience above is anything to go by you might be in trouble. If you do manage to get it delivered let me know. They told me that they didn’t even have a tracking number with Fastway so it was impossible to check. I got a €20 credit off them and a refund.

I rang Littlewoods this morning and within half an hour later I got a text saying it’ll be delivered today! Won’t hold my breath till I see it.

I've smth else purchased from Littlewoods sitting in Laois hub since 29th of Nov!
Emailed Fastway and they advised they were experiencing delays and to keep checking tracking.

Littlewoods sell them but currently sold out. I think you could use the Apple uk website and then parcel motel etc. it says 4-6 weeks waiting for delivery.

My HomePod arrived today with fastway after I rang Littlewoods this am. But it’s a Xmas gift to my wife. Can’t wait to see what it can do.

Just be careful ordering though package forwarding services such as the Parcel Wizard and Motel ones. With Brexit kicking in there are issues for deliveries in the future. Parcel Wizard has closed now AFAIK. Not ideal to order something to one of these without checking first.

Hi Billydoc - where are you seeing the 4-6 week delay? I'm waiting on my wife's Christmas gift now and getting more and more nervous.
The parcel "should" have arrived at Parcel Motel's Belfast address on Monday (4 days ago) but it seems to be in limbo and I can't track it down.

Now I'n stuck sending emails to DHL hoping for a response.
    Apple say it's delivered.
Their delivery partner, Syncreon say it's "Delivered"/"Out for Delivery"/"Arrive Terminal"/"Our For Delivery".
Syncreon link to DHL who seem to be giving mixed messages but do say that it's "out for delivery" and that "Your parcel is due to be delivered on Monday 07th December 2020"

I saw it on the apple uk website few days ago when I thought about buying one, it said delivery was after 20th January when I went to checkout.
