Ah yeah, always own the top scoring player as a rule. Salah is the member of the magic 5 that I’ve sacrificed. Most expensive player but only fourth highest scorer so best logic I could use to take him out.

You cant have all the players this year, I had them both pre wildcard, have a midfield of Jota, KDB, Grealish, Fernandez & Ziyech which isn't too shabby!

Simple as you can't have them all. Shipped grealish and kane for kdb(c) and bamford. Not like it hasn't worked but son being consistently excellent did not come into my mind. Hope he goes back streaky

As a KDB captain and Son and Kane owner I am delighted with the proceedings.

Even bloody Telles got an assist for me this gw.... on course for 80 points + without a GK and lol Riedewald in starting 11.

I just believe you should always own the top scoring player in the game as a rule. If you don’t agree fair enough.

It's easy to wind up people by saying that?

Why would you have Werner when he's done little or nothing - why not DCL - after all he's 2nd highest forward and cheaper??

Why not have Zouma - as he's the highest scoring defender?

You have KdB even thought he wasn't even in the top 10 mid field point scorers before this week

You see it's easy to say you should have xyz, but you yourself aren't even applying that rule to your full team.

If your rule is highest points scorer is a must. Than surely it also flows. Especially surrounding the DCL Werner choice which is what Ace is saying.

I'm at 37k currently and don't own Kane, Salah or KdB.

Owning and captaining these top players at the right tme is the key. The latter is something I've not done well so far.

Plus also the real art of fantasy football is knowing when you should get rid of xyz player and when to bring them in.

As having the top scoring player sounds good. But if you had lots of players who are good value per pound when they it the good spells those are the people who well. As they know when to get on the wave and when to get off it.

Worth noting that both Kane & Son blanked last week along with Werner, having all 3 last week not exactly an inspired idea.

Kane? Son was the highest scoring player coming into this.

If you want to pick holes in the rule that is fine. I keep it as a rule. I have good weeks, I have bad.

My teams almost always start slowly and get much better as things go on. If I needed to work on my approach it would be how to have a good first month. The pick the highest scoring player rule doesn’t help me in the first month.
