I don't know if there will be a crash, I asked a hypothetical.

And I never said I own any btc I just asked about crypto and asked if there was a difference between alts and bitcoin in relation to stock

I know, I look at it often.

What does that have to do with the correlation between cryptocurrency and the stock market?

Sorry thought you were asking about the differences between various assets in relation to their stock

Just out of curiosity, how much of your net worth do you suggest holding in crypto?

if you are asking for yourself, look at what you have, and then pick an amount that you could potentially lose 50% of its value and wouldnt really effect your standard of living and you could recover easily enough from with it just being a bit of a pain for you

I'm more risk lover than my wife, but I have to take her opinion & feelings into consideration when making investments as its 50% belong to her
We find a happy medium, she knows I would like to go in more but I value my marriage relationship over an investment any day

lets say you got 50k in savings and decide on a value of 10k

if it goes down 50% then you still have 45k in savings, but if it goes up 5x, 10x, then you have potentially 90k - 140k

Its really down to what you could stomach if you lost half your investment

And we are pretty much back to this year’s all time highs.

Interesting how the pullback matched the Black Friday weekend :-)

You'd think the IT would have the wit to get one of their own to pen an article on the BTC ATH rather than pasting a Bloomberg article..or maybe not...

Is Weckler still the IT guy at the IT? If so he'll be stroking his pencil over the new iphone and macs until December and ignore BTC until after RTE talk about it. Just like last time.

Imagine walking into that car dealership or estate agent and telling them you are buying this with pixie dust internet money

Don't think he ever worked for the IT.. he's at the Indo.

He's at the Indo. The first he'll know about it is when the macro lens on the iPhone can't capture the peak on the price charts.

If I'm reading this correctly, currently only 10% of US Paypal customers have access to crypto services, with the rest coming online in December, and then the rest of the world for Q1 next year. Interesting times ahead.

Add Grayscale and Square into that equation

Hence the reason why the 900 or so BTC that get mined every day are being bought up as fast as they are mined

I could be wrong but as far as I understand their wording, the US rollout is complete: https://newsroom.paypal-corp.com/2020-10-21-PayPal-Launches-New-Service-Enabling-Users-to-Buy-Hold-and-Sell-Cryptocurrency

"If you lost all your savings tomorrow in crypto how would you feel?"

Thankfully I don't have all my savings in crypto. Let's be honest you would be a madman to have 100% in crypto.

I want all of my savings in crypto. Naturally, I don't have. I guess I'll have to settle for making green off this multi-year volatility and growth until I can. It's not easy. :D
