Private psychiatrist

Hello,

After a couple of years of dealing with the HSE for my mental health, I am at the point where I need to bite the bullet and go private for a proper assessment. (I've been misdiagnosed despite the HSE team's own assessment negating their label for me. They're also unwilling to change my medication despite the drug I'm on causing me increased frequency and intensity of episodes of suicidality.)

Has anyone had a good experience with a private psychiatrist in Galway or even Dublin? At this point, I'd nearly take recommendations for specialists in the UK because I'm so disillusioned and disheartened with the doctors here, - and I'm just a wee tad worried about being so close to acting on the suicide bouts. (The psychologists, on the other hand, have been excellent. Unfortunately (fortunately?), I'm not deemed a severe enough case to see the psychologists anymore.)

Would be great to hear from anyone who's had positive experiences with private doctors and diagnosis etc. Thanks.
