    Delivery scam: Gardai issue alert over text trick that's doing the rounds
    An Garda Síochána have urged people to be alert to these ongoing scams.

    Got that similar SMS today Sunday, lucky I wasn't expecting any package.

    It's worth pointing out that the tracking number is an immediate giveaway. That's not a valid tracking number. International postal tracking numbers are the format [2 Letters][5-9 Numerical Digits][Country ISO Code (2 Letters)]. So a tracking number couldn't start with UPS as it's three letters.

    UPS tracking numbers always start with 1Z.
