Hi we have recently bought a new house and the phone coverage for Vodaphone is very poor. We both have work mobiles with them and can’t change contracts. I have looked at boosters online and I’m just wondering are they any good? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure it's legal to boost a signal in Ireland using third party equipment at least.

You'd need a place in your house that has got good coverage, ideally high up and outside and boost from there but again not sure on the legality.
You need to boost calls + data as the amplifiers boost certain bands only afaik?

Did you try asking your employer to query it with vodfone about a signal booster.

My employer is with the three network and if you have issues with signal at home, a request is issued to three and they come out and measure the signal at your house and install a signal booster.

Mobile repeaters are legal here but only the approved units, not the cheap stuff from China etc. Illegal units can be intercepted and confiscated by customs.

    Where can you buy one?

There are some online retailers selling repeaters that comply with ComReg’s technical conditions. View a list of these manufacturers. ComReg will regularly review this list to ensure that it is kept up to date. View a list of suppliers and installers.

Stella Doradus, based in Waterford, are an Irish manufacturer of these units - https://www.stelladoradus.com/
