Listening to the "Final Surge " Podcast and a coach called "Tinman" uses the term CV training. Has anyone ever looked into it?

I read about it a while ago. Never tried it myself, though.

Read a good bit about it and used it in 2019 as part of mile-5K training.
I did not get too hung up about calculating the exact pace since it already is an approximation of an approximation.
Typical sessions were 5x800m building to 5x1K at around 8K race pace (between 5K & 10K race paces) followed by 8-10 strides at mile pace.
Felt stronger from them, results good but not outstanding, jury still out.

I use it a lot in my training.

If you look up the famous Tergat posts on Boards - he also used it a lot.
Some may say he is Tinman.......but not me ;)

Its 30-35 min pace (I use 5mile pace - some may use 10k (based on ability)) and typically do 6x3mins off 1 min.
The workouts dont leave you very fatigued as you're not going to the well.
