Why do so many African Americans vote Democratic ?
Since 1968 no Republican candidate has received more than 13% of the African American vote.
Trump has actually increased his vote since 2016 .

Only 47 percent of blacks identify as liberal yet ~90% voted for Biden in the election .
Many Blacks live in big cities run by Democrats, and conditions there are pretty awful and have been on a downward spiral for decades.
It seems strange that they are so singleminded.

    Yes I remember that.

The election was held to prove Iraq was a democracy and not the dictatorship the evil Americans portrayed it to be.

I forget the name of the guy Saddam beat.

    Because republican policy marginalises them

Fake news. They entered Trumps and Bidens votes separately into the tabulation system. Trump got a bump after this when his votes got added.

Lie travelling half way round the world while truth ties its laces, and all that. Never so apt.

60k worth of ballots due to be declared in Arizona in the next hour, Biden may finish this thing in style.

Arizona has a really tight recount rule too - 0.1% and it's automatic and there is no way to request a recount under any other circumstances

    Biden currently leading by ~0.6%

Yes but lets just say with the current numbers Donald won't be practicing his acceptance speech.

I mean he probably is practicing it. Just that the numbers imply that it won't be needed.

No automatic recount in Georgia. Must be requested by the losing candidate.
It may be as late as 24 November.

Worst case for Trump is the beating he handed out to Hillary is going to be same he's going to receive this time round, unless he can pull back GA and the recount flips WI for him? PA looks lost to him now.

maybe it is because the democrats introduced the Civil Rights Act and fought for desegregation while the republicans actively opposed it.

Trump thinks he "owns" these judges, and they have somehow pledged allegiance to him. He's in for a surprise, but that's the world he inhabits in his head.

He's a wannabe dictator, but thankfully very bad at it.

He's peddling this narrative that he can 'take a case' to the Supreme Court (which he can't) and that they can 'declare him President' (which they cant) .

In any case, BBC reported that the PA ballots that are subject to the legal actions (ie. those that arrived after 8pm on Tuesday) have been boxed up and not counted. So they arent even relevant right now unless the race is so tight that they need to be counted (which is looking unlikely)

    Not a chance a recount over-turns a ~20,000 vote lead.

At best a recount might shift a few hundred votes in either direction , but just not realistic to suggest that there are ten's of thousands of votes counted wrongly.

The Georgia one is absolutely fair , a few hundred votes in it so well worth another look , but elsewhere it's pointless.

The irony is its Republican commissioners in charge of many of these swing state votes.

Trump claimed back a couple of thousand on his deficit in Arizona.

Don't think it will be enough at that rate though to flip it back red though.

maybe it is because the democrats introduced the Civil Rights Act and fought for desegregation while the republicans actively opposed it.

That's not true, people in both parties were heavily influenced on whether they were Southern or Northern at the time. More Republicans voted in favour for the bill than Democrats.

I think Trump has overtaken Obama's highest popular vote...so now has the 2nd highest votes received...

What it really shows, is that there is a very large percentage of the American population who support Trump, and the country is so polarized that it's going to be next to impossible to bring everyone together

Short of the margin he needs. 55% when he needs 58%. Not sure if he has more Republican areas to make up for it.
