Jesus having to worry about the safety of elections staff and also their families. Talking about checks on vehicles.

That was something that struck me earlier..

Some sham decides that the way to "stop the count" is to burn down the count centre.

There are nutters on all sides , but only one candidate is ranting for the last 36hrs about fraud and theft and and and..

I have a terrible feeling that there is going to be some kind of tragic incident somewhere.

Trump has really energised politics in America. Whether you love him or hate him he'll go down as one of America's greatest presidents. People are still talking about Julius Caesar, and they'll still be talking about Donald Trump in five hundred years time too.

If he doesn't pull through in this election, after his spectacular showing there is every chance he gets a second term in four year's time, if he wants it that is.

    Haha good stuff

Query: I thought postal votes were mainly for citizens not in the country on the date of an election/ or for people actually in hospitals.

On what date was the 'postal votes' decided? and on what criteria? or was it just that absolutely anyone could post in their vote?

And, from what date were they then allowed to actually post the postal votes.

Does anyone know the ins and outs of this?

It's odd that the Democrats are fighting against observers being present. Has it something to do with observers having to be bipartisan, or what? Strange one. It's feeding the Trump fanatics and I can see why.

Legal observers are always allowed, it's the Trump Mob pushing there way into buildings that's the problem

It would be very odd if it were true

I know there was some dispute about how close these observers could get to the people performing the work. Implied intimidation. Something like that maybe?

Nope but I was thinking, they would surely have had to provide evidence they were being kept too far away to be able to properly observe for the first order. If that's the case that is just plain weird

How many of Gonald's's tweets from the last 36 hours have been flagged as bullsh!t by Twitter?

Just caught Lewandorkski on the news there spouting a whole pile of nonsense. The Republican party actually trying to steal a presidential election. Shameless.

Also, there is a pandemic, too many people who are too close could endanger people health. We already seen Trump rallies become super spreader events.

So when Trump goes to court it's legitimate but when democrats do so they are hiding something? You Trumpists are absolutely comical.

Looks like Democrats are trying to hide something they should be delighted in having observers if they are confident Biden has the votes! Believe Biden is so popular dead people are voting from the grave for him!

Not officially but in reality it is. It's also one of the many places Trump is suing.

What exactly do you think they're hiding? It's pretty fair that observers shouldn't be able to get too close to a person during a global pandemic.

Because among the observers the Trump campaign have sent are Eric Trump, Lara Trump and Pam Bondi. This is done purely as an intimidation tactic of the count staff by the Trump campaign by sending those as "observers".

They aren't, they are fighting against the GOP having literally hundreds of "observers" who were shouting and disrupting things left and right.

From what I understand between all candidates they were allowed 131 observers (no idea why such an odd number) but literally hundreds of people on the GOP side turned up demanding entrance.

They were all refused and then they all starting trying to video in the windows etc. - Which is an offence , only the official people are allowed be there and see stuff.

So the election staff blocked the windows.

The GOP are now saying that they are "hiding" stuff.. even though they have dozens of staff inside already.

It's flinging turds in all directions to stir things up and cause trouble so that some Judge will eventually just go "ah lads , this is getting silly , let's just go with the result we have"

Think Brooks Brother riot on Social Media.

I don't know, but there were a number of observers ejected from the/a count centre in PA yesterday because they were getting in faces of the counters who were feeling intimidated.
If its the view of the Democrats that the goal of these observers is not simply to observe, but to intimidate, then I can see why they might object. There is also a process to follow to become an observer - you can't just turn up en masse and expect to get in.

    This.

A number of Trump observers were removed from count centers due to them intimidating the staff.

I think that's the key point with all that - they don't want a repeat of what happened with Bush.

Ridiculously Rude and surly- if you can’t answer a few simple questions then piss off and let someone else do the job.
Following this the big difference I can see is the humour removal most Americans seem to have. Bad enough as our media might be they’d at least draw some honour from it and lighter moments with a bit of deprecation
