Recounts, conspiracies, lawsuits, it could be argued over for weeks, but yes for most people it will be a sign Trump's 18 year presidency is finally over.

GA lead for Trump down to 14,765 now with 98% reporting.

98% reported? He might just hold on. If there's 50k votes to count, and Biden wins them 75-25, that's about 37 to 12 or a gap of 25k. In that scenario Biden wins.

If Biden wins, and that's looking like a near certainty unless Trump can pull a huge political stroke, then it's not really an endorsement of him as much as it's an indictment of Trump. Biden would, in any normal election, be a massively whitebread uninspiring candidate. Just a basic old white guy who you figure will side with the big guy in the end. It's been enormously helpful for Biden that he's been running against a lot of people who are profoundly disturbed by Trump. Trump is as much of a conman as those he accused of being conmen in Washington and has no scruples about playing off fears to gain power. In terms of basic human decency, every American president I've seen looks to chart very high compared to Trump, no matter what their policies were. Trump just does not care.

Biden is running simply because of Trump. I favoured Sanders in January but given everything we have seen, I really believe it would have been just too easy to play the communism/socialism card there and I think that that would indeed have swung it for Trump.

Similarly with Warren I think he would have bullied her relentlessly and again, America isn't ready to see that for what it is.

Biden is not the best candidate the Democrats could have offered, but he is likely the only one who could have won this election.

I think Trump will be back, though, one way or the other, either himself or someone he's endorsed.

He will never run for office himself again.

I think it is more likely candidates with real aspirations for office of the President will look to distance themselves from him rather than seek his endorsement.

He has a history of endorsing candidates who have been beaten.

CNN still saying 60k remaining in GA. So was the 200k bogus?

I think there's an issue with confusion between votes reported and votes counted. So I don't think we're entirely sure. I'd lean towards the lower figure though, as if it was 200k and votes kept going towards Biden at the rate they were, Biden would win fairly comfortably. I don't think anyone's expecting the GA result to be comfortable for anyone.

Sounds so dodgy. Wouldn't be surprised if some dems were desperate enough to try shenanigans, then pointing to Trump's personality and "the alt right" to try and dismiss calls of foul play.

I don't think it was deliberate irregularities, but its important that the losers don't have an unfounded gripe, otherwise you could see protests or worse.

Georgia is going to be squeaky.

Looking at the figures, I think Biden could be just shy of what he needs to overtake Trump.

In Georgia! Lol would help of me to say where.

Well by everyone I mean the electorate. Don't care personally what Trump thinks.

But yes sinking to Trump's level in terms of vote rigging is not the answer.

Point I am making is vote counting authorities need to get it right and be above reproach, from either side. So far they are doing a great job.

I tend to agree but I really hope he does take it to help the Republican Party turn their backs on Trump..

    I think 2% is around ~100k votes.

If 60k left, and most would be mail in votes, Biden needs only a 60-40 break, which he should get.

It's bizarre stuff. His son has posted a video of election papers being burned. Gets 100,000 people liking it. Turns out that they were just sample papers. They are using anything they can to just sow a seed in the minds of people who want to believe this ****.

We have the President of the United States trying to stop votes being counted. That's something I thought I'd never see. It's beyond surreal.

We're now at the stage where the world is looking towards the White House with bated breath to see how the big child who occupies it reacts to an election. It's bonkers.

I googled that and then I googled Obama, is this true?

Obama dropped more bombs per year than any American President in history, illegally bombing 8 Muslim countries. Obama deported more undocumented migrants than any US President in history.

I don't have time to do in-depth research right now. Obama won the Nobel peace prize, did Trump win that too?

cant speak for anyone else, but my reason for supporting him is that i fundamentally disagree with political correctness, cancel culture, all that sort of stuff that seems to be mainly the purview of the left. and he was willing to take that on. in a lot of ways i realise what a gob****e he is, but those above mentioned things are way beyond trumps bad points (IMO) and politics for that matter.

It seems to be because that's what's they tell you it is.
Why not vote for someone based on policy, the person themselves, things that directly impact you? Instead of voting for people based on what they tell you about the other guy?

Incidentally most examples of cancel culture seem to come from the far right. Currently democracy is trying to be cancelled. Other examples include defunding public services (including TV), politicians who push for social distancing measures, fact checking (someone waaay back in this thread was saying this) - all of it I call cancel culture.. IE.. I don't like it, get rid of it.

And your solution? Vote in the guy that's pushing all of this.. brilliant.

isn't it kind of sad to be worked up by this counting. The votes have already been cast, and if the system is fair, it doesn;t make a blind bit of difference if the results come now or next next tuesday. That said, I am hitting refresh one more time

Me neither, but if irregularities exclusively go one way then it could be an issue.

For all Trump and his supporters talk of patriotism, they're willing to destroy their countries electoral reputation for selfish political ends.
Nobody really takes it seriously, but if electoral fraud on the level Trump is claiming was possible then America would be a basket case as a democracy.

I don't mind recounts in close calls but what if what he is claiming were true it would mean the state legislature was grossly incompetent.
Like a spoilt child he doesn't care what damage is done so long as he has his tantrum.

There's no way we have had 100k added to the tally since it was at 96% reported. There would have been a much bigger swing in the last couple of hours.

I have no faith in the % reported value.

So that massive win from Trump!
A Pennsylvania court ruled that Trump campaign observers could stand closer to watch ballot processing in Philadelphia—a relatively inconsequential ruling that Trump campaign associates quickly touted as being a massive win.

    Meanwhile down in Georgia!
A Georgia judge has dismissed the Trump campaign’s lawsuit over absentee ballots in the state.

The president’s reelection campaign tried to argue election officials were attempting to count invalid ballots in Georgia.
