Connect old playstation via USB to read CD-ROMs?

I have a bunch of old CD-ROMS with photos and stuff. I don't have a CD ROM reader. I found this old playstation in the shed. Is there some usb adaptor I can use to connect this to my laptop?

You can buy this USB adaptor.

You plug the USB cable into a PC, your CDs into the adaptor, and the Playstation back into the shed.

I cannot think any way you could use that console to do it - bit old - But if its working with controllers etc - it might be worth something to a collector of old consoles.
