I think Trump knows he is not going to win this one. He sounded terrible on the phone to Fox News.

He sounded exactly how a man in his 70's should sound when he's been flying around doing multiple campaign rallies per day for several days straight - i.e. exhausted.

He is not sounding very confident at all. Not that I am an expert is reading peoples emotions.

Tonne of reports on broken or jammed voting machines.

North Carolina has had to extend voting time and delay results in response.

    #WorldsGreatestDemocracy my foot.

If the Dems get in, and even better if they get the Senate too, it is time for sweeping reform. An end to gerrymandering, automatic registration, uniformity of how to deal with drop off ballots and post in ballots etc. etc.

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

Trump is gone 2/1 now on paddy power. He was 6/4 this morning. Wonder what info they might have

Yeah maybe Paddy Power have hacked into the electoral system in the US and counted all the votes in the individual states and worked out who will be the more likely winner in the electoral colleage system.

Or else it could be the algorithm adjusting after people bet on Biden.

Seriously , do they not test this stuff??

I saw reports earlier where the "suitcase" which apparently is the case/box that all the election documents etc. are delivered to the polling locations in hadn't turned up in several locations in PA so things got delayed while spares were sent over.

Stuff like that is basic table stakes activities , how do they get it wrong?

Hardly a 'Tonne' in the scheme of things.

Number of polling places in N.C. : 2,600
Number that opened late so will close up to 45 minutes later: 4

As you say, results will be delayed until those 4 close.

I would be surprised if Trump wins from here.

It kind of reminds me of 2008 where even though Obama was miles ahead in the polls people were warning of the silent voters who would lie to the pollsters in order to avoid being seen as racist. People said it would be much closer than the polls would suggest.

He sounded like a man that was flouting expert advice to not hold super spreading events nor go without a mask in the midst of the worst pandemic in modern times.

Trump was one step away from conceding earlier.

Has he seen some intel that shows there’s no hope

Good enough for BLM to hold mass rallies, then it's good enough for Trump. At least Trump supporters don't go around burning and looting cities afterwards.

If people were lumping on Trump then they’d shorten the odds, both the other way around.

This says that the money is coming in for Biden, not Trump.

    Yep
2008 was over after 12:30am Irish time.
One of the swing states, can't remember if it was Virginia or NC or PA was projected as Obama and that was that, everyone agreed it was over.

    The silent majority never materialized.

In general I think markets and bookies usually get things right.

However they were both wrong big time in 2016 for both Brexit and Trump.

I still won't put my money where my mouth is and bet on the Don though.

The Democrats and most commentators seem to believe it will be a comfortable blue win, perhaps bordering on a landslide. Most level headed Republicans expect the same. Everyone is afraid to say it publicly given the 2016 upset. We will known soon enough I guess. Similar vibes to 2008 as you say. At this stage in the campaign people knew Obama had it but were afraid to call it.

If it's a 269/269 tie, does the Electoral College vote still happen or does it go straight to a Congressional vote? Because if the EC vote still happens, then wouldn't there be a huge thing made out of potential faithless electors breaking ranks and thereby breaking the tie?

Georgia having issues with machines too.

Some poll worker has also stated on Instagram that he thew out 100 or so Trump ballots today, most likely on the wind up, but he's in for a world of hurt if true.

Judge Emmet Sullivan (of Mike Flynn case fame) has issued an order for US Postal Inspectors to search a number of locations to ensure ballots get delivered. There's a count of 300,000 ballots that have been received by USPS but not scanned as having been delivered. Central PA, Philadelphia and Detroit are particular locations. They must comply by 3 p.m. E.T.

Your first sentence doesn't sound like the Christian advice to 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you', which would surely be appropriate for such a devout man of the faith as Trump. As for the second point, no, they burn torches while screaming 'white power'.

You do realise that going from 6/4 to 2/1 means he's drifting in the market?

Apologies, irs been a long day!

And I expected them to close, surprised if people hadn’t been limping on him Today!

Yes. I expected Biden as the older man to be more tired but

Trump is absolutely bet to the ropes.

I think the difference is all the fight has gone out of trump

He was doing multiple events a and dancing at all of them.

If he is suddenly so knackered now on a quiet day it points to him suddenly be taken off whatever 'boosters' he was on to keep him going.

The small section of boards that trump has seemingly radicalised honestly fascinates me and frightens me in equal measure.

How did it happen, do you care this much about Irish politics or is it just trump that gets you going?

You'll see them supporting the likes of anti-mask protestors and on the antifa thread. The nearest thing they have to an actual political party is the National Party.

They might be a joke right now but not taking them seriously is a mistake.
