He will brazen this out as long as he has his party and FF support.

    Edit
..... Ehm actually I think he may have just nailed himself to the cross.

O, that's a killer question, have you ever leaked confidential cabinet info, not a good immediate response from Leo

No, he was almost out the gap too, but that response will keep life in this story.

He was just about home and dry until that question !!

Leo was pretty wide eyed there for a few seconds when Peader asked him about leaking other information.

May not be today or tomorrow but Leo is toast. Simon the Corkman will be the next FG Taoiseach.

    Simon very jittery

Peadar Toibin should have opened with his question about leaking cabinet information. He was on to a good one there.

Yes, audible groans in the chamber after that response

Can anyone tell me will this be investigated? I want to know did anyone benefit personally? Is the taxpayer on the hook for this? (I know GPS did not have a good agreement in the past). I don’t care if it appropriate or not best practice. I do care if there was unfair financial gain for someone or some group.

Considering the NAGP are now defunct it would appear not. Perhaps even the opposite.

Varadkar says the negotiations concluded on 3rd April and it was brought to cabinet on the 9th April.

But O'Tuathail received this document on 5th April, did he not?

Did O'Tuathail receive this document before other cabinet ministers and Varadkar claims it was already in the public domain?

He claimed it was mostly in the public domain and something about things not remaining confidential for ever. Basically he leaked confidential information and he's bull****ting to dismiss it.

Caught rapid on the leaking cabinet secrets there.
Leo has been filleted here. Not enough, if the party support him, but his reputation is in tatters.

They all leak stuff. The budget is a good example. We pretty much knew every detail before it was announced.

Leo released confidential information to his pal. Why? We do not know.
He gave one group/his pal confidential information regarding negotiations, not yet published. There is nothing to debate IMO, just LV trying to justify it.

I wasn't expecting him to get any kind of scolding from FF/Greens. His character is known. It's out in public for the public to decide. He's been damaged goods since he was a minister. FG would be best served by letting him fade away, but with Leo's ego and big mouth, it's unlikely.

Been hearing the same stuff from you for years. Equally, your character is known.
