Anyone using Firestick. From what I;m reading it uses AC power but you can use USB power if you buy adaptor.

Check first with the cable that comes with the firestick. Mine works fine plugged directly to the television, was thankful I didn't buy one of these.

That free £10 from Amazon for topping up and that free £15 from Readly that coincidentally also came through today is making today a very good day for Amazon balance! :pac:

These headclippers are excellent! Bought one in 2015 and still going strong if you clean it regularly. Very simple design with a claimed self sharpening feature that I 100% believe in after 5 years of use:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BN1TW7C/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

~40% off now, I may buy another one.

You might be better with one of those generic plug in cameras?
They tend to be quite bulky and also Chinese hacking magnets.

This will placed on a shelf high up in corner of room so field of vision should be sufficient.

They look similar to a Neos Smartcam which I have - they're often available for £20 but rarely seems to drop below £30 these days.

I have a DeLonghi Esam 4200 that is still going strong and working perfectly after approx. 2 years of constant use but that Sage is a stunning looking piece of kit. Don't need it, but very tempted.

I upgraded from that delonghi to the sage barista express a year ago, I'm very happy with it. The sage has a pressure reading though while making the coffee which let me know the supermarket bought beans I had been using were shít, so now I'm a coffee snob that only uses (reasonably) freshly roasted beans. So the improvement in coffee could just be down to that??

I suppose its unlikely Apple products will be included at all in the sale?
Mrs birthday is coming up and I know it's an iPhone she's after!

Double bonus for the sage if you have a business account signed up in the past week or so there's a 30% code B2BPRIME20 that can be used on your first purchase up to £200, although it appears you can buy over £200, just the max discount is £60

If you take the 30 day business prime trial, the voucher brings the sage down to £340, or €375 with revolut. Afaik the voucher will work on any first business purchase, but might help someone else out who's thinking of pulling the trigger

any suggestion for a laptop ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,066 ✭✭✭oinkely

any good deals on budget android phone for a 12 year old. Rugged would be good. Don't know much about what is good value / deal? There's a blackview 5500 at £80 but doesn't seem to be much a saving over normal prices.

Where do you find the warehouse deals

Looking at investing in a good coffee machine - only have a dolce gusto machine and want to go from pods to using coffee beans.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sage-SES875BKS-Barista-Express-Machine/dp/B072Q22S3J/ref=sr_1_16_mod_primary_lightning_deal?dchild=1&keywords=coffee+machine&psr=PDAY&qid=1602603956&s=prime-day&sbo=Tc8eqSFhUl4VwMzbE4fw%2Fw%3D%3D&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&sr=1-16

Is this a good deal or is overpriced - Or if anyone has any sugestions it would be appreciated - Clueless on this kind of thing!!

    Thanks

Where do you find the warehouse deals

On the search bar where it says "All" you can select "Amazon Warehouse", or instead just find the shield here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Z6QQZPF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and click on "New & Used (7) from" and it should show the warehouse deals. Once added to your basket, the ones eligible for the extra 20% discount will say so.

Nokia 5.3 ? - I've been using a Nokia 6.1 for the last 2+ years and it's rock solid, gets updates regularly etc.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nokia-6-55-Android-Smartphone-Storage/dp/B0891GQFFN/

There is the much cheaper Nokia 1.3 but it's really under-specced, don't buy it.

Few comments back about this model and in the Expired DeLonghi thread. Seems like a good deal, but not the kind of ''one button'' coffee machine. Id love to get it but may get scolded if I didnt consult the better half

Do you have the 2 or the 2C?

    I have the 2C model

Seeing as you have 7 I assume I know the answer to this but you can add extra cameras to the basic unit I take it? Is that an easy process?

I have 2 base stations. I believe there is a limit of 4 per base station but not 100% sure on that.

    Also looking....

How does this prime sale compare to Black Friday? I'd say they are all the same deals right?

If I can get a laptop now it would be less stress on black friday

Not a specific Prime Day deal but I got my 13 year old one of these. Not super powerful or anything but a solid "first" phone.

    Xiaomi Redmi 7A 16GB Dual-SIM blue EU [13,8cm (5,45") LCD Display, Android 9.0, 12MP

I have about 7 of these setup around the house. Excellent piece of kit and very simple to setup. Wi-Fi range seems to be very good on them. I dont get 6 months out of the battery but probably 3 months where the camera goes off (at the front door). This is a great price.

I had reolink before but find the Eufy slightly better especially when wanting to buffer for a live view shot.

    Thanks! Bought it 🤞👍

Yeah, it's from a third-party seller so they always charge for shipping but when you look at the one sold directly by Amazon it's £105 with free shipping!

Xiaomi Redmi 7A Dual SIM 16GB 2GB RAM Morning Blue

Six of one as they say! But probably better to order direct from Amazon for peace of mind.

Wouldn't recommend 16GB if a kid is planning on installing any games. It would be eaten up in no time.

True. But it was a deliberate decision on my part so that my kid would not be able to zone out on games on the device for hours at a time!

Also there's not really enough processing power on that phone for heavy gaming.
