Been seeing a few online ads for Irish Companies and all their prices are ex vat on their ads and it does not state this except in small print on their website and not on the banner ad itself.

    Is this legal ?

I was under the impression that if they are selling to the customer a plus vat price needs to be stated. Someone put me straight on this.

If they are selling to the trade they can quote ex vat prices but a disclaimer is required. As you say this could be very small and hidden.

But if you are selling to the public ie non vat registered they must give the vat inc price.
