They allowed themselves to be used as political pawns. There's always going to be fallout from that. Trump should have just not commented on them though, as the DNC were clearly baiting him but that's Trump, he says what he feels rather than regurgitate some pre-prepared politically correct spiel.

So you're doing a 180 on us here?

In fairness, I think that's the closest to agreement we will see on this thread.

Trump absolutely *does* say what he feels.

It's just that it changes on an hourly basis because he is not if stable mind.

Another excellent idea by the Dems.

This will drive trump up the wall.

He's a massive narcissist. It's all about himself. Has he even mentioned Melania in the last few days? How is she doing?. Most husbands would be more worried about their wives having a serious illness, than themselves - or even equally worried. Has he thanked the nurses who looked after him?. He was more worried about getting the orange spray tan back on.

I don't know who the Khan family are, but I do recognise victim blaming when I see it..

Open to correction again as I can't even be bothered searching for it..

The Khan family were a husband and wife who appeared at the DNC in 2016 and who’s son died on active duty and awarded the bronze star and Purple Heart for his bravery and they called trump out during their speech and asked had he even read the US constitution and saying that he’d never sacrificed anything or anyone. Trump didn’t like that and it was pretty unsavoury.

    And, what's the problem, exactly??

Trump spoke about them as a "for instance" when referring to how he meets with large groups of people on occasion and how it makes social distancing difficult.

I note the article omits from their cherry picked quotes that Trump referred to their stories as "really amazing actually - beautiful, but sad" and for that reason, given he OBVIOUSLY holds such families in high regard, he's not going to tell them to back up 12 feet, adding ".. frankly, I’m not telling them to back up. I’m not doing it".

Only liberals could spin this as Trump saying something negative about Gold Star families, but another day, another nothing burger.

I would have thought that the USA would be doing everything in their power to locate the cause of the threat on the POTUS and so many others within the WH lives.

Nothing to do with blame, but to tighten up for future issues. But seems POTUS is simply happy to just fire 'blame' out all over the place.

But why not simply blame Hicks or Melania, if Bannon or KAC? Because those, or the SCOTUS party, doesn't make him look like a hero.

But since the WH initially tried to cover this up, and since then have refused to tell the truth, I wouldn't place a single bit of credit on Trumps latest, obvious, attempt to shift the blame.

    Agree entirely.
With regards to Melania, it now looks very like a marriage of convenience.
It will be interesting to see if the marriage continues when he leave the White House.

Will she be faithful to him while he's in prison?

Of course he is and with a huge army of flying monkeys to boot..

I wonder tho, what's in it for the flying monkeys? Do they even know they are? I thought they got a kick out of it too, but maybe not.

Usually you can explain a persons behaviour (he speaks what's on his mind, he's a fighter, he wants to negotiate tough etc) in terms of how most people behave.

But when someone or someone close is sick, that's when the language used really becomes telling..

Hmmm...Pence was supposed to vote early in Indiana tomorrow, but has suddenly cancelled and traveled back to Washington.

    Curious.

I recall a few posts from yourself having to let everyone else know "what Donnie actually meant".

Now it seems to be a pat on the back for Donnie cause he's such a loveable political rogue not reading PC spiel

So if Pence turns out to have indeed been infected, is he going to admit it in the next day or do we just have to hope some journos find out about it too?

My first draft of this was "do we just go through all the steps until they just have to admit he has it by Friday at the most" and starting to feel like I should have gone with that.

Like an FPL substitution you second guessed and lived to regret...

    Ouch

That can't go down well with some republicans..

Covid drug given to Trump developed using cells derived from aborted fetus

Probably won't matter too much as peoples beleifs tend to shift if there is something in it for them..

It now looks like? Who was ever going to marry DT for any reason other than convenience/lifestyle/percieved wealth?

I mean was she originally won over by his emotional depth, intellect, charm and rugged good looks?

This is a tricky one. If they take him off quickly the physical side effects can be very rough, but the longer you're on them the more prone you are to psychological effects. So it depends which one you want to risk.

If I were the GOP I'd be falling over myself to keep him out of sight for the forseeable future either way.

from what i've been reading he's entering the danger period for covid and shouldn't be taking the steroids much longer. he's at the very least going to crash hard, and at the worst could be in ICU very soon. him getting worked up all week and trying to work is the worst possible thing he can be doing also.
