It’s not just about the rating, IMO.

Like Werner is an 85, going for 200,000 coins now and will probably double during OTW. For example, I also packed Parejo who is an 85 and is going for less than 5,000.

Felix, Traore, Rodrigo and Mbabu are not highly rated but are now extinct and will sell for around 150,000 coins combined if not more when their price range is sorted. Felix is only 81 rated but is a perfect example of someone meta who will hugely outplay his rating.

I went into last night with 2,000 coins and from what I packed (along with some manoeuvring with cards I won’t use) I now have a starter PL squad containing options such as Werner, Allan, Mahrez, Silva, Digne, Felipe Anderson, Ndidi, Pepe, van de Beek, Traore (extinct) and Rodrigo (extinct).

To me it’s more about what I can do with the coins than how high rated the players I pack are, although I know that is somewhere interlinked.

Prices are so low now that if you have a decent coin reserve you can put together a very good starter team and/or invest in cards that will likely double or triple in price come general release. Trading my way up and no FIFA Points would have been ideal but I’m just not that good at it and being completely honest I don’t really have the time/patience. I tried it the first couple of days of the Web App and it was tough and very time-intensive flipping the odd card for 100 coins profit. Plus, by the time I would make enough from trading to purchase even one meta player for investment, the game would be out on general release! :pac:

So the way I look at it I went from 2,000 coins to a great starter team with at the very least another 200,000+ worth of coins from players I won’t use sitting there waiting to be turned liquid when their price rises. To me, that’s worth it, but I do know I was lucky to get what I did (IMO).
