Custom skin Xbox 1 controller

Hi all,

My son is looking for a custom skin xbox controller, again I have no idea what this is. He also needs a new remote so I assume you create or select a skin and get it printed on a new controller or do you buy a controller and then get a skin attached?

Any recommendations on websites to use or how to do it?

You can get them done here, but it's going to end pretty soon, but I'm not sure if you can put your own photos etc on it, maybe a 3rd party do them.

Just to know, there are companies out there that will sell a custom printed plastic shell for a controller that you can just stick onto a normal one. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-add-custom-shell-your-xbox-one-controller has a basic breakdown of what's involved. I suspect Hurrache's link to the Design Lab is probably closer to what your son's looking for. Another alternative (with varying levels of praise) is Scuff Gaming who make totally custom hardware with extra buttons and so on.

one final (lowest cost but definitely cheapest looking too) is a vinyl wrap, loads of them on ebay for under a tenner,

You get 2 as standard, £10 and they deliver here. Very easy to use. Might be worth a punt. They do skins for nearly everything, pretty sure I heard about them back around the early PS3 days.

Tempted to use their option of personalised face masks so I can put a picture of my beard on it so it doesn't look like i'm wearing a mask...Might be worth a shot at £10!
